The helping hand was tricky this LAN as we noticed so many stepping up to help when the situation called for it. We will be badging up some of you with the LAN helper badges for your support. If you didn't get a badge it likely just means by that time I had too much whisky in me to see your moment of glory. You unsung hero, you.
We only have 1 trophy though, so this LAN we decided to give it to a chap who not only supported us during the LAN by letting us use and abuse his machine for the Dead by Daylight and to spectate the tournaments on the TV, but continues to support dMw in any way he can. Overdue and well earned, congratulations Mr Rogue Taylor. :yahoo:
Finally I wish to add my thanks to Gortex and GhostMjr for helping set up and run the event - it wouldn't have been possible without you 2 - and Mr NoPeanuts, who kept the servers ticking over nicely despite my constant harassment and multiple kebabs.

Well guys and even a gal thanks ever so much for an amazing LAN. I had a brilliant weekend apart from those delightful neighbours who decided to have a small 45 min-1 hours argument this morning at 4 o'clock .... so thanks for that you lovely people.:ranting2::doh:. Part from those i cant complain about the weekend at all it was just a brilliant weekend with some really fun times and some good memory's, so thanks everyone that was there.
The admins... ow them admins. You all did a brilliant job and hosted an amazing first LAN, you did yourself's and dMw proud. You all had some great ideas and i think they all went over really well from the games we played to the social area which everyone loved. Just the ability to spectate the comps with others was a great laugh and some real fun. I look forward to the October LAN and the things your planning to do for it, also look forward to the servery you mentioned to review certain things about the LAN. Well done Chaos, Gortex, Ghost and peanuts for doing all the server admin with a smile :D ( even know it isn't easy to get us all in them servers ::)
Thanks everyone else for being there and making it the great LAN it was, it was a true pleasure to meet you all and to spend the weekend with you. It was nice to meet the new faces and to put a face to those who i speak online with ( like cheese who still doesn't look 18 ). I want to thanks smilo as well as it feel i spend a lot of my time there talking to him so i imagine he is really happy to get rid of me :byebye: and twobad but i know he loves spending time with me so no reason to thank him and cheese :flirty:
The games we played were great as well i loves playing overwatch and team fortress 2 i know a lot of people think these are the same games, there is some similarity but they are both amazing games and i had a blast playing both of these. I know overwatch will be coming back due to the admin but i hope we get another chance to play team fortress 2 again now i know what to play. The retro gaming was a real blast from the past as well and i look forward to what Gortex has planned for us next time. Unreal was fun as well the map had a few issues but it was a trail and it was nice to play a game that was once played back in the days at the LAN's. Speaking of games at the older LAN's, playing COD4 was brilliant and i loved being able to go back and play that game again.
anyway i have said to much now haha :lmfao: Thanks everyone for the weekend. i feel i didn't help enough to get the reward but thanks ever so much for giving to me guys it means a lot and i will make sure its kept safe for when i return it to the October LAN

Big thanks to those who worked so hard to make the LAN work, it was a great one and you have every reason to be proud of what you achieved. As i said to Gortex at breakfast yesterday, the only downside (for you guys) is you have set the bar pretty high for the next one and as my wonderful son has said, it is already being looked forward to.

YES LADS! A great LAN. I loved every minute of it.

I loved the spectating / console gaming area. Was a great addition.
These events have become a great part of my year - I look forward to the next one already.
A special mention goes to Peng, Pnuts and Taggel for making the massive drive tolerable..... NAY! Enjoyable!

The LAN was fun, good job in organising it all. Always amazed how smoothly things tend to go (apart from power cuts previously which couldn't be helped). Goes to show how strong this community is when you can regularly run such events so well.
Although I didn't sit at the TV too often, it was a great addition, I was fortunate that I could see it from my seat anyway and found myself watching other people playing stuff quite a lot.
I am glad I decided to come along in the end, it was a welcome break.
