Nice find.
My money is on the most popular theory that a planet is spiraling into the star and being torn apart by the stars gravity.
It's a great story but I'm wondering why the BBC are running it now when the big news broke in 2015 and was covered by most news providers then and again in October last year.
Still it's a nice article and we get far too little science news, but welcome to the party BBC :)
