That patch for Ark introduces the next/first mod fully integrated with Ark, which is weird and annoying since prim+ was supposed to be one of these, but this is its own map so.... what?

I'm obviously excited about it, and obviously I'd love to see it hosted etc etc, but I feel like people will think my excitement for something new in ark is to much and would prefer to see me burned at the stake for suggesting some new fun, still, I thought I'd bring it up here, in the super active Admin forum :D
The reboot of The Island has been a major (fun) time sink and I am not ready for a restart. I think this will be a good thing to do once The Island becomes stale but we have caves still to clear and bosses to kill.
Seem to be flashes of other maps like the Center in there. They do make it exciting with the nice in game cinematic shots and music. I'm personally done with Ark but if there were missions and purpose other than build and tame I would reconsider.

This could well be the next incarnation for Ark but we're a way from that at the moment.

So with the official launch coming up what are our plans exactly? Are we celebrating it? Are we finally opening the gates to Ragnarok alongside The Island? Possibly connecting the two to travel between them? Just some ideas would be nice, even if they are ones that shoot me down in flames and I cry :crying:
I sympathise with anyone who doesn't want to do the early grind again, but I literally love discovering new lands together, personally I don't think there's any harm in letting us cross into Ragnarok as high level characters but I'd say not to allow our tames to be transported yet, otherwise we'll have Griffins at 250+ before the end of week one, haha.
I guess I'd just like some internal opinions before I go hyping anyone else up :D

Nothing concrete decided, Sithy. Pen's on his hols but a few of us did have a very informal chat about what we might do with the official release.

Aye this is my first consideration. We've done it before and I'm reluctant to agree until all incumbents agree so to do.
We've made good headway on The Island with bosses and i think there's a core of players heavily invested therein.
We'll a TS when I'm back and we'll see where we're at and what is looking to be achieved. Cross Travel would be good and I have no issue in that. It was what we tried between The Center and Scorched Earth and would make a move/cross fertilisation more palatable I guess.

Aye I'm sure. This game is tough enough as it is in our little world....... I can only imagine what's it like on a pubbie.
Did you chaps make any decision on this? I'd be keen for a few weeks worth of Ark before travels were there a new map to explore.

Cool. Hopefully that is manageable as I can understand not wanting to do anything that threatens what work you all have on the island.
Personally, I'd rather start fresh on Ragnarok... Maybe a poll for the active players?
I'd be happy to do that with the caveat we complete everything we want to on This Island first.

We just started with bosses and getting Tek gear which is a first for any of us and proving a fun diversion.
