Title: Vote in this Poll
Post by: SithAfrikaan on July 18, 2017, 08:22:52 PM
Hi guys,
If you've not been reading the developer blog posts, there's been a call by them to get votes on which option for UI and HUD they should continue working on.
The absolute TL:DR is that Option A, sees more UI elements being added to show key info (This is not my favourite option, I like the minimal setup it currently has)
and Option B is to refine the system in place now, where you open your inventory to see extra stuff, and requires that you memorise some of the junk you've picked up previously.

vote here at http://www.strawpoll.me/13456936 (http://www.strawpoll.me/13456936)

and have a read of the blog post at http://steamcommunity.com/games/578080/announcements/detail/2505541822955232967 (http://steamcommunity.com/games/578080/announcements/detail/2505541822955232967)

I cast my stone at 39k votes, considering how huge the community is I'm sure that's set to soar!

Get your votes in, for this FANTASTIC game bros.

I don't see anything wrong with the current system tbh. You can't really have your whole inventory splashed all over your HUD albeit only consumables according to the blog.

Option A to me is taking away the responsibility of the player to correctly equip themselves. Also I don't see it as a problem checking your inventory, I do it often throughout a round and make sure I have the essentials.  I like the realism of having to check what you have now and again as you would in reality, if you're looking in a bag you cant be looking around for potential threats at the same time! You have to make that decision of when you check your inventory, it's part of the game surely.  Just my opinion....

I would rather they concentrate on new islands and maps, optimization and immersion rather than a fancy hud that will slow down development and also perhaps consume more CPU cycles of an already resource over-intensive game.

Option B for me. I like minimal stuff on my screen when playing.

Option B as well. But look at the poll most ppl are going for Option A :/

Saying that, the current hud even if they keep the info the same could be made a lot nicer.

Most are going for option B, it's just the results page is showing option B above option A which makes it rather confusing

Thanks for posting this and bringing it to our attention.

I voted B and agree with all above statements. I'm glad B is winning.

A is winning the actual poll by quite some margin. But winning the poll isn't going to be the deciding factor they say on the steam post.

Are we seeing different results? Currently Option B is winning.

ha, so B is winning anyway.. I really didn't pay much attention to that, wasn't expecting it to order that way :)

Sorry I glanced at it and assumed that A was the top number. I sort of expected them to list the results in alpha order not winning order.
