Title: Resource Respawn Distance
Post by: Chaosphere on September 08, 2017, 12:58:50 PM
We briefly discussed this via chat in game the other day.

Do you know what the resource respawn distance from player structures is set to Whitey? It seems to be quite a bit further than on The Centre - it may be worth bringing it in a bit if the rest agree?

I think it's only 5 or 6 tiles? I did a little experiment and that seems about right. I don't mind closing it in so long as it's not stupidly close.

Perhaps we could trial something like 3?

Any problems with it then we could go back up, if this is the case. But I am easy (no thats what she said please :D )

We did play about with it quite a bit when we set up the Island and I'd rather not change it unless we have a really good reason/need.

Fair enough Then, it just seemed very far to me but perhaps I am mistaken.

With metal nodes / rock the bit you can see is sometimes just the tip.The node can have a larger footprint underground

I more noticed it with trees to be honest. But it isn't causing any problems per se so I am fine with leaving as is if it has the potential to cause any problems in changing it.

I'd like to do some testing seeing how far the spawn distance is. I have no issues with making it a little smaller but let's get the other work needed to be done first (cross arking)
