Title: CoD WWII
Post by: Sparko on October 01, 2017, 10:22:38 PM
Played a few hours of the open beta tonight, I was surprisingly impressed

No exploding RC cars
No running up walls
No ridiculous weapons
No stupid kill streak awards like nuking the map

I was a massive fan of the original CoD and especially CoD2 mainly due to my interest in WWII. It was nice to play a CoD game that was modern but which was also kind of back to its roots.  If you enjoyed the original CoD I would recommend trying this definitely, it’s free to try the beta and I think it ends tomorrow night so not much time to try it but I thoroughly enjoyed it

Also just to add, I know it’s realeased next month but they seem to have optimised it quiet well, runs extremely smoothly and is nice and crisp.

Anyone else tried it?

I've tryed it shortly but can't really put down a review. I was able to get on a server where the winning side was overrunning (and outnumbering) our side completely and when spawning I'd almost got shot straight away.
Managed to get a few kills in and decided to try a different server but somehow it kept putting me back on that server. So on a 5 minute game I can't really put up a review.

Anyway, I hope it's going to be an okay game. I saw a few others from dMw also playing this.

Yeah, I like it. Better than their last 4 or 5 games. Might actually get it.

This was actually not my favorite COD series, I love COD 4: Modern Warfare.

Revolutionary multiplayer, especially on consoles, is the main reason why this has been the best war game. The alluring mix of compulsive unlocks, brilliant map design and powerful feedback is still hooking players to this day. Then there’s the peerless campaign. Bursting with unforgettable missions - Death From Above, All Ghillied Up, Charlie Don’t Surf to name a few - and a slither of surprising nuance, it’s the best war story the series has ever told. The 2016 remaster only improves on it, getting a timely visual update that makes it just as crisp as its bundle brother, Infinite Warfare.
