first off this is not sli , both cards need to be of a similar performance, this is due to a new feature of dx12. but is only supported in one gate as of yet. Worth the watch

I wonder how much extra work it amounts to in a big project, to optimise a game to support this. That would be one of the main things holding developers back, I'd guess? That and the fact that consoles don't have this option, so why put extra effort in at all if one of your biggest user bases can't take advantage of it...
Worth keeping an eye on though. Especially if it ends up in one or two big games that you play more than most, then it could be a possible cost effective way to better push those pixels. Time will tell!
