sorry if it has been posted before, but this could be epic if it works. want to play the latest games, your 5 year old 570 cant handle it..well here you go
my only concern possible micro transactions to play?
added myself to the beta list to see how it works on my old asus nf55s
Anyone remember OnLive? That was the same thing, five years or so ago. I think Sony bought them to use their tech for PlayStation streaming, which works fairly well now.
Stuff like this is interesting, but it introduces a fairly significant amount of lag no matter how good they make their delivery. For games like Ark (the dMw PvE way) it would be fine, and maybe a great way to enjoy the game on to go. For games like PUBG, though, where those seconds really count, it will never replace a laptop or 'portable' desktop.
This just Steam Link in the cloud, very cool. Interesting to see what the multiplayer latency effect is. For single player, amazing.
Given that they are expecting/aiming for sub-30ms latency on release (GeForce NOW it is currently beta) then for all but the finest twitch shooters I suspect lag will be a non-issue. Seems a decent way of using an under-powered 17" old laptop to give it a new lease of life, at least where you have decent bandwidth :norty:
