Post by: Evilntwisted on April 15, 2018, 09:57:35 AM
Is anyone going to the LAN old school like me and fancy playing a bit of Command and conquer in the spare time?

I have ultimate edition so can okay any of them.

Its also only £4.99 on cd keys.

Damn that's pushing 20 years' ago now.

I was still getting asked about being labrat 1 in  "One-Eyed King's Fast Castle Guide for the Terminally Slow" a dozen years later...

Good time but so, so many people who we've lost touch with.

Never really got in to AOE but have played it. I would love to try and get a copy of Warcraft 2 up and running. I remember networking that via Serial \ com cables.

I was a bugger for temporarily knocking out power to my mates defenses and sneaking in a squad of stealth tanks to sit around the main control building for the next half hour. Then when he was too focused on attacking my base I'd de-cloak and wipe him out.

Still remember the time I found a second command unit in a drop and started a second base as far away as possible, then he was a little confused when he didn't win after losing nearly all his units destroying my first base and then my second much larger army trundled in from the opposite direction and steamrolled his.

Sunday afternoon fun which turned to all out war just an hour before opening time at the pub so we could do maximum drinkage.
