Title: Making game recording files smaller
Post by: TheDvEight on June 03, 2018, 11:07:11 AM
Hi guys,

I've been using the software "handbrake " to make my file sizes smaller for uploading to YouTube but it's not the best designed UI in the world and it's a bit awkward to use. What piece of software is out there that'll make game recording files smaller while not infringing on the quality.

The original raw files could be made smaller by re-rendering them to a different format using sony vegas or adobe premiere and such.

I've seen youtubers use handrake though to compress videos, maybe stick with it:

I've followed some parts of this, i'm not sure what version of handbrake this guy has (his video is 2016) but my up to date version has less options.

I've followed his recommendations as much as I can and will update on how it went.

Annoyingly I followed a different guide prior to you posting Mike and it made the file size bigger than the one I previously encoded from another guide I followed.
