This looks amazing. I want a new game to get into and think this may be it. I hope it catches on.
took me 1:06 to decide that I want to buy this when it comes out.
Colour my eyebrow raised :norty:

I'm surprised it's classed as an indie title according to the guy, I feel this is close to what I think battlefield should have released instead of another world war shooter. looks good!
I assume it has been given that label as it is being developed by a small team without a major publisher behind them. Although I don't like how that term is slapped around these days, this is the very definition of inde(pendent), so fair enough.
It's small and independent development is also my biggest concern. It looks like a generic military shooter, and if the gameplay is not absolutely top notch it may have little else to 'sell it' as a result. Many good ideas fall by the wayside due to lack of proper substantial continued development in the long run.
I'd happily be proven wrong, and will keep an eye on the game from the sidelines.
I wonder if a tactical shooter from a smaller indie developer might not be a blessing. There are so many games in this genre being pushed out by behemoth publishers who's sole remit is to milk as much cash from the game as possible, through DLC, season passes, micro-transactions etc, often at the expense of player enjoyment. Maybe a more 'honest game', if this is what this one turns out to be, might be a breath of fresh air. Even if it's game play is only adequate/decent I'd feel better about supporting and playing it than I would about throwing another fifty quid plus at EA.
Watching with interest.
Could be, smilo. I have perhaps been left pessimistic by the slew of 'early access' games that fail to meet even fairly basic expectations. Supporting a developer because you like the way they roll is all well and good, but it's hard to stay cheery when you're a few hours into the game and the basic mechanics are just not where they need to be, for example*. There is only so far good will takes you, IMO. Must be tough, being a small developer in a tough industry, working against the expectations of miserable sods like me. Again, would be really happy to be proven wrong on this one :D. Let's see if they can do it...
*PUBG being the obvious exception here :norty:.
I'm still in the 'sit tight and wait for the quality reviews' camp. Early access can be a blessing or a get rich quick scam, agreed. But you do get a 'feeling' about some companies in that they seem to genuinely being making a game they are invested in and are proud to be making. Subnautica, Kerbal Space Program, Sir You are Being Hunted come to mind. I accept most game devs feel that way too. It all goes south when the big publisher gets their grubbies on the game.
This look interesting imo, although hopefully as he says in the video a bit better colour palet where you don't need an ultimate high end monitor to see the shades of grey that might be a player.
Also would be nice with a game that you don't get killed på a 1/10th pixel you can't see even if it's in the middle of the monitor (Given up BF1, it get decent if I actually can start it, but 95% it's show yourself about 5ms then die shot from out of nowhere)

So have I it seems, looking forward to see what this game is like after playing the BFV beta. I know they are know where near complete with this game but after the NDA i will share thoughts :)
I hope mine is in the post :( not got mine yet
first wave went out on the 7th, second wave today. Hopefully another soon.
This comes out tomorrow, is anyone getting it?
Also, those who played the beta, what are your thoughts? i didn't get in lol.
Not sure I'll get it on release, will wait to see what others think of it.
I played it and actually really enjoyed it. It reminded me of what BattleField used to be like in BF2 and BF2142 days but with way better graphics.
Reading through Steam and Reddit reviews the game is not there yet. It's easy to see that any review that runs to a paragraph or more is actually quite complimentary while the foaming one line rants are all negative. I'm guessing this would be due to the underlying game being decent but full of annoying bugs and connection issues. The WW3 Reddit thread is now about a meme for people pointing guns, bananas, household objects at the endless loading screen.
"I'm waiting patiently for WW3 to get through the messy birth and may well decide to bounce the well scrubbed smiling baby on my knee in the near future." :D
aaaaaaaaaaand I bought it anyway
They patched it last night to fix the loading bug.
I read some of the reviews and realised it was just because of the glitch.
Let us know what you think Smilo, I remain interested but wary with this one. :D

This is quite constructive, Ben:

Seems they are having terrible problems and steam is now full of complaints about never getting past the loading screen or having to wait half an hour to get past the loading. Still interested in this, it looks very nice.
Gave up and requested a refund. This really was a complete dogs breakfast of a launch and puts to shame the failures of EA and their kind. When a developer can so completely drop the ball as WW3's has done, it doesn't bode well for frture reliabilty. From the 20 minutes of actual game play I got it was a reasonable FPS squad based shooter. Sadly there were only five of us on the server though which made gameplay pretty rubbish.
However if it doesn't load 90% of the and when it does you find no one else is actually playing it it's time to give up.
This is a shame. Stuff like this should really have been picked up in the beta. :/
have they failed so badly with the launch because they are a small developer/company and didn't expect so much interest i wonder
I had this problem in the Beta. Shocking they didn't sort it.
