So, pc going on for 6 years, and it's starting to feel exhausted, even when playing wow.
Got long loadtimes, slow graphic-updating, and silly framedrops especially when moving in a major city.
Got the feeling my cpu is running hot, as the fan runs pretty noisy.
Few demands:
quiet and as small as can be, as i'll have to move the rig into the living room in a forseeable future
Budget-friendly as possible.
Having a CM-storm scout case atm, but would prefer something smaller if possible.
hey, upgrade time always makes you think how much cheaper everything was last time you bought a PC.
The Overclockers Forum always has build threads going and is a good source of ideas. If you are looking for a small portable rig then check the below thread for a micro-atx build

You have plenty of options for boards in this size now even Asus ROG stuff, SSD is a must but you may have the option of standard or M.2 depending on the board you opt for.
I just helped my nephew build a new PC with a Ryzen 2700x and I was very impressed with the performance. Just remember if you are building with it you may need to borrow a low spec Ryzen to upgrade the mobo BIOS and the Ryzen 2700x has NO ONBOARD GRAPHICS AT ALL. So make sure that there is a grfx card on the mobo before you boot up. Saves a lot of anxiety and swearing.
Very impressed with the performance of the M2 memory and it helps keep your case super-neat.
