Post by: TheDvEight on September 20, 2018, 08:39:57 AM
Got a letter in the post saying virgin are increasing there prices and that you are able to change/cancel before 31st October without paying cancellation fees.

Just a heads up really my price increase is by £3 a month not sure if it will be the same for others.

After speaking to the cancellation team.....they offered to reduce my bill by 3 pounds for 6 months.

I got the same letter through the door. I've not had a price increase in many years. Every time they try, I call them up and ask what benefits I'm getting for the additional cost - there are none. (it's usually around TiVo and phone packages, which I don't use) So we agree to keep the price the same. Followed the same process last night.  You've just gotta moan loud enough. :coolio:

I know you've not long switched over to VM - but whenever you're contract is up for renewal ask for a Loyalty discount - that will drop another 5er off your bill. They will try and remove it again at some point, then you just call up again and ask if they want to retain you as a customer or not - which they will - it's easier to retain than gain a new one. They'll then reinstate the discount, I've never had to fight for it, they just do it.

Around these parts, it's either BT or Farmer Palmers Intermaweb Service if you want to watch Netflix in slideshow format.
