Hi all,
Floated an idea around on Discord but will post it here. Trying to gauge how much interest there would be in a small Apex tournament. We can't do custom games/own server but I was thinking something along the lines of:
* Get list of people who are interested
* Randomise the squads
* 5 games to be played over 1(2?) weeks
Use a points based system to determine the winner, something roughly like:
* 10 points for winning
* 5 points per kill
* 5 points per RESPAWN of a teammate
* 3 points per revive
* 2 points per 100dmg per player
Trying to think of a balance between not just winning, but rewarding kills, keeping your team alive, and doing what is the equivalent of assists through damage done. Points for respawns could be higher as this is difficult to do, especially in the latter stages of a game.
As a tiebreak could take the times of all 5 matches and whoever has the most points in the least amount of time as the decider?

Not even played it yet but if I can make the time \ day count me in.
The idea is that it isn't just 1 time and 1 day, but a series of games to be played within a window. This would hopefully allow for all 5 games to be played and then the scoring to be done.
It's possible to hammer 5 games out in less than an hour, but not everyone can make the same hour on a given day, so I wanted to spread it out to allow as many people as possible to get involved.

Can be a pain to get time online but willing to give it a go with patient team mates :)
would like to play with you guys but teams are always taken up.
Will wait a few more days to see if anyone else wants to sign up before looking at sorting the teams and setting the time frame for the games.
My only thing is that i can see going wrong in this is that the people in the teams might not be on at the same time, there for not being able to get to game together. i play mostly in the afternoons where a lot of people can only do evenings. Its nothing major but just a thought.
Played a few hours of this last night. Not sure what I think I enjoyed it but it didn't make me think wow cant wait to play again tomorrow. Maybe it will grow on me.
Also for those that arent aware there are twitch prime goodies for this game.

Right, drawn the teams now. They have been added to the scores sheet for you all to see.
Some rules for the tournament:
There are two weeks for you to arrange the 5 games you will play for the tournament - Arrange this between yourselves for when ever is good for you all to make it on. The cut off is 10th March
One member from the team post a screenshot from each of the 5 games you play here in this thread please - Doesn't matter if it is in game or a phone picture ;)
The scores are separated for each game, please make sure you fill this in correctly for the score for the game to be recorded.
The scoring system:
Each kill is worth 25 points, for each kill just add the number of kills you entered into the column, it will do the sum at the bottom of the row for all of your team.
Re-spawning a team mate: This is worth 20 points, again, add the number of re-spawns and the calculation is done for you.
A revive is worth 15 points - enter number of revives only.
Damage is calculated as 1 point per 10 damage so you can rack up a large score from not just killing people but in assists as well. The calculation is done for you, so enter the total amount of damage you inflicted.
Winning a game is worth 50 points! For each member that is left standing when you are crowned champions, enter 50 into the score column. If all 3 of you are left standing (knocked does not count) than a possible 150 points are on offer!
This is a bit of fun and is reliant on people being honest with their games.

I've not been able to get back on since my first session so it would be nice to at least have a few practice rounds first. Otherwise, the only points I'll be adding is when/if my team revive me :D

I think as long as the 3 of us dont play together we are OK. I wont be able to get online until Thursday, Maybe Wednesday.
@Chaos, yes the idea is it is your first 5 games with your team and not 5 best ones. This is hard to police but the idea being to stop those of us who have more time to play this game throwing in 5 hard to beat matches.
You can still go about playing the game and have some warm-up games before the games with your team with randoms or other dmw people for sure, and probably a good idea to.
Should probably some sheets to the Google docs allowing for teams to sort out times they can all play together, would make it easier for people to see who is available and when.
The screenshots should have time stamps or Exif data, not too hard to police. Good luck guys and gals.

Jewelz and I had to duo our games as we didn't get a reply from Arm about when we could group up, and I'm now going to be working until past the deadline :(.

There were 0 respawns in any of the games played!
Only 1 team won a game, team 3 who won their first.
There is a grand total of 44 kills in all games.
11866 damage was inflicted.
11 revives were achieved.
I quite enjoyed doing this and would be interested in knowing if others would like to try it again. If so, any feedback would be appreciated and I can see about implementing it next time around. For anyone interested in doing it again, if you could add your name to this thread and if there is enough interest I can start the ball rolling.
From me, one thing I would like to add is points not just for wins, but something for places as well. As we can see only 1 team won a game, so the points are a little unbalanced there.

had a good time, we lucked out on our games either crap loot spawns or getting to seconded place and not being able to kill the last team. I would be more then happy to do another one, its also nice to see i am a happy medium in the score board :D
