Title: Windows CE Browser
Post by: ChimpBoy on February 09, 2004, 09:36:50 AM
I'm looking for an internet browser for my Windows CE 2.11 handheld pc, as I want to put Avantgo onto it.

It's an old unit that didn't come with a browser as standard.

I know you can get a microsoft product called "Pocket Internet Explorer" and it's available in a version for 2.11, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

There are other versions of compatible web browsers out there, but the links are all dead (the software is about 3/4 years old).

Tried places like tucows and cnet, but no joy.

Any ideas?

Get IE6 and cut round the edges until it fits....................That's not helpful is it?  :(

Chimp, the browsers for Pocket PCs etc. come integrated with the firmaware and you don't generally get them as a separate app. What model of PPC do you have?

Cassiopeia E-105 running CE 2.11

I thought this as well, but I'll be damned if I can find anything on the handheld cds I got with it.

When that PDA was new there were no CD's. You should be looking for the 5 1/4 floppy discs that it came with.

 OK Here then (http://www.pocketpccity.com/software/ppc/iBrowser-1999-07-24-ce-ppc.html)
