As quite a few people seem to have Humble Bundle subs and have no doubt picked up Soul Calibur this month, along with those who already have it, I thought it would be fun to do a little tournament.
If you are interested please put your name down here and I can see how many people are interested. It will probably run for a month or so to allow all the games to be played as not everyone can play everyday and I want it to be open to as many as possible.
Initial thought on format was a league, with games being a best of 3 matches, which are best of 3 rounds. 3 points for a win, with wins / losses recorded in the table. In the event of a draw 1st and 2nd place can play each other.
I am open to any ideas for format, I don't play fighting games at all so if there is a better way just let me know!

Okay so now we have all the sign ups I have created a league for us.
The format:
3 matches, with a match being best of 3.
3 points for a win.
When the match is finished, post the result of your match here and one of the people in the match update the spreadsheet with the result.
I will take care of updating the league.
Matches for and against will be recorded and will be used in the case of a tie break along with the diff.

The matches do NOT need to be played in that order. I will leave it up to you to arrange your matches, but you can see who you need to play.
For all matches to be completed, shall we say by the end of December? This gives around 2.5 weeks for all the matches to be played. A match shouldn't take long to complete, and even quicker in some circumstances (hey Jay).

As uni said we can complete at any time so no matter if this doesn't work for people.

How on earth do you remmeber all these combos? I've been trying to get my head round blocks, throws, this that the next thing, just the fundamentals, then you add to mix, timing, and the unpredictability of the opponent. I never really played fighting games but they've come on a long way from Double Dragon III for sure.

It’s simple tactic that most of us use it’s called .... button mashing. I don’t know any of them combos I just have an idea of what the person does with each button
