I'm getting a bit more time on PC now for obvious reasons and I have hankering for bygone days of FPS and other socials. My issue is I can't guarantee I'll be available so I've dabbling in games single player.
I have just had my reality checked. I've downloaded Hong Kong Massacre and stuck it on medium thinking I'm an old hand. I've got a few fast twitch reactions left. Slo-mo? Max Payne? I'm a legend at that, I'll play it through then maybe ramp it up a notch.
Level 1, room 1. Dead.
*chortle, just warming up.
Repeat.....drop into settings, drop to easy.
Repeat.....oh god, I have a life of Euro Truck Simulator ahead of me.
In the queue - Sekiro, I dread to start it.
It's basically Farming Simulator all the way now
:crying:
I really want to play sekiro but like you I need to be ready for it
I am playing lots of cod warezone at the moment. They do single player trio and quads and it is
Also wreckfest is great fun and cheap.
Lota have gone back to overwatch.
I really want doom eternal but my rig won't do it justice
Try Goat Simulator.... you should be OK at that :rumpy:
I'm not sold on Sekiro, it's ok so far.
Hong Kong Massacre is awesome though! And quite like Wreckfest, not tried online!
We had a load of us playing wreckfest it was a good laugh. Will checkout Hong Kong massacre
Feel free to join us in the games mentioned above mate. Bit of multiplayer and bantz will do you the world of good during the lockdown.
I logged onto a CS 1.6 server today for the first time in a decade :o
I was terrible... Comically terrible.
Since then have installed CS:GO and been doing a lot of bot practice, and have now managed to get the boys up to "hard" but still struggling...
I want to play the old classics:
BF2 with us all trying not to fall out a chopper while @suicidal_monkey cartwheeled us across the sky.
ARMA 2 with OB the medic patiently reviving me for the eleventyth time... And us all stood around waiting for Doorman to catch up with us after his tactical detour...
CS de_aztec getting AK sniped by Sadako from 4 maps away because I had the temerity to think about defusing a bomb
Singing "bad boys" on mic with DuVeL because we'd had a couple of beers yet somehow managed to survive a horrendously outgunned round.
etc etc
Any of that still happen?
I think I've found our game Twig.

I genuinely want this.

But the point of games so you can do stuff you wouldn't normally do in real life! Walking in the hills is a doable thing. I could understand it being good for us folks in the flats of the Netherlands, but the Surrey Hampshire border! lol

Bad boys bad boys, what you gonna do when they rush for you... Or something like that. I hope to join on the WAN for some CS.

Ha ha ha, given your previous reputation I did not expect the "O" in virtual O to be orienteering... :lmfao:
Also since when did playing games on Steam give you XP? What the hell is my Inventory? What is Discord, is it like Teamspeak for millennials?
Grrr get off my lawn, kids of today etc...

hold my beer and watch this ...
Thank you all for making me feel young again :)

Pretty sure that is how we all played BF2 - then ARMA came along and careering headlong into a firefight in a jeep wasn't the done thing anymore...

:roflmao: Yes, this.

Now, why does that sound dodgy when Benny says it? :g:
Well the quick blast we had of BF:BC2 last night was definitely similar to the "old times" - I thoroughly enjoyed it despite being as terrible as expected, plus this Discord thing was fun, the banter really helped cheer me up after a crappy day.
Plus we knocked it on the head at a sensible time so I wasn't a complete zombie when my daughter got up at half 4 this morning either - WIN!

I'm definitely playing it on extra hard, no slow mo, spud gun only..I'm well good.
All this action got me itching to chill out. Just delivered a load of syrup to Cambridge. Amazing how far I can get in one conference call.....pop quiz, what game?
As an aside, I've scratched my organisational itch and now have a list of games to work through. Fun time ahead if work doesn't get in the way again.
How did the event go ?
Where are you off to next?
What's on the list?
In no particular order :) Some I've played in the past, I'll spare you the additional columns :)

From our side went well. From the marketing side....shocking.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7nWFkmHliuYwQVHJCuU-7Q/videos
We did the broadcast and overlays. Which given no interaction, no access to houses to set up PS's and the logistics in lockdown, pretty happy with for a first effort :)
Oh well - at least your side went well given the constraints you were under. :-)
I know bud.....if we get another, keep your phone on :)
Wow Kong Kong is such a great game, keep thinking I am Chow Yun Fat
Its also perfect to play while on conference calls....
Started Prison Architect, completely absorbed Civ6, and really want to dedicate some time to Sekiro.
Rimworld is another one you should have a look at and also it is in the Steam sale for the first time
Rimworld is simply incredible, and one of the few games I VERY REGULARLY re-visit for hours on end.
