Mines due an upgrade but they are all much of a muchness these days. Am after some ideas as I'm looking at either a p30 pro (for the camera really) or a note S10 or even jumping over to an iPhone 11 - just after ideas at the moment.
You will not regret a P30 Pro, I've never been so happy with a device and the camera is literally astonishing, especially if you want to try your hand at more technical photography but don't want to shell out for a DSLR.
If its not obvious. I have a P30 Pro, and I originally bought it for the camera alone, what I ended up with is a device I enjoy using almost all the features of.
Just as a quick example, this is a completely unedited shot from mine, and it's severely backlit by the sun.
So what I would describe as a terrible photo is still LEAGUES better than other phones.

Ditto, same phone here. Generally very pleased with thew phone and seriously impressed with the battery life on the 3a XL, it's a monster.
Iphone 11 Pro Max.
Yes, I know. No need to say it (again). :)
Haven't posted this before and unsure if its something you or any others in the community would consider but if you are fairly flexible or even inflexible with your choice you could get a cashback deal from anyone of these, all you have to do is remember to send in periodic bills. Even if you only send in one there's still a saving to be made over going for a standard tariff.
fonehouse, affordable mobiles or mobile phones direct.
I have helped a few family members get them and the pricing really works out well especially if you can hold out till black Friday!
Example contracts I have obtained:
November 2018- Iphone XR 64gb vodafone 80gb data, came with nowtv entertainment, unlimited mins and texts- £37 a month x 24 months= £888 total Redemption of £228 cashback and £46 cashback by going via topcashback. Making a total of £614 price over 24 months! (If I had just bought the phone sim free it would have been £700 ish then would have had to get a sim only on top which would have been a lot more than this total price. I still have yet to cash in the phone at the end of the term which hopefully should still be a further circa £200
June 2020- Iphone 7 refurbished 32gb- o2 unlimited mins and texts, 10gb data normal line rental price £24 reduced to £12.00 a month 24 month term via redemption. Phone is worth circa £100 so £288 cashback back and £288 total for the plan seems good to me
November 2019- Sony Xperia 10- o2 unlimited mins and texts 10gb data- £24 a month reduced to £5 a month via redemption plus £46 top cashback so £74 for 24 months for £200-£300 circa phone and data
Best iphone 11 deal I have seen recently is this one (https://www.affordablemobiles.co.uk/apple/iphone-11-64gb-black). I have seen it as low as £31 after redemption though factor in the £50 top cashback and that means you get the phone for £34 a month!
No idea of pricing of huawei or samsung I'm afraid.
Anyway just my 2p, have a shop around and see what you think.
Samsung S10+ snapdragon version.

I run with a S20 that I got a few weeks ago
Nokia 8. Lasted me a good stretch so far, and seems to still be going well
Non-mangled Android OS and a 3.5mm audio jack, plus a high-end cpu/ram/chipset (for its day) at a non-high-end price - from a half-decent manufacturer to boot. Okay-but-not-great camera (so probably not what you want...) but it does what I want from a phone camera just fine. The battery is great - it is still regularly over 50% at the end of a typical day.
After using premium phones (ex Nexus 6P user) I downgraded to a Nokia 7.1 and now a Nokia 6.2.
The big selling point is as suicidal said - un-molested Android OS. It's clean and minimal out of the box.
It's an awesome phone which ticks all the right boxes for a phablet. Having NFC allows for Google Pay and only use my wallet at old fashioned shops which only allow a £30 limit.
The camera on it is the only weakpoint - it's ok but not great as I used to have. The battery life though is a massive step up from the more premium phones which barely last a day - this can go 3 or 4 with light email and browsing use.
Ended up going to the dark side, iPhone 11 Pro, just to see what the fuss with apple is...

Same, not a single complaint.
Yes they’re expensive and I’ve tried Android but iPhone all the way.
