Title: Gameplay recording software
Post by: TheDvEight on October 10, 2020, 09:37:12 PM
Hi all,

I hope you and your families and loved ones are doing well in these strange times,

I have a question about gameplay recording software, I currently use GeForce experience to record my gameplay which I enjoy using but for some reason, it makes my microphone sound really terrible even though I have a fairly good mike - Blue snowball.

Would using OBS to record gameplay be a better choice to use?.

Thanks.

if you intend on streaming go OBS, if its just wanting to recored your gameplay stay with shadowplay.

Yes recording in OBS (or streamlabs OBS) will fix it.

It's the compression shadowplay uses for mic quality. You can try changing the mic quality in the windows sound control panel settings and see if the compression from shadowplay is less effected.

Failing that, mute the mic in shadowplay and record you voice using audacity then just sync the 2 recording together in premier or vegas.
