Imagine the possibilities for this, 128 player Battlefield 1942 maps on latest Frostbite engine, repair tools only anyone?

Looks good. The more players can build / customise the better really, always a plus in these sorts of games.

Wow what a pleasant surprise! They had me piqued (pretty much from the title amiright?) at the NO HUD proper hardcore mode option....

I read this like we would somehow be teaching it every possible way to beat humans no matter what, which is why we can include it in all whacky game modes....

If this is played at the LAN - can there be a community decision on adoption fairly quickly after? As will need to start saving for upgrades... :D

On Friday its open to anyone. You can preload it now regardless too, just scroll down in steam to the bit that let's you 'register interest', or words to that effect.

Played a number of games on it and got some mixed results with game bugs and lag. Doesn't really feel like a battlefield game of old and doesn't seem like a polished game I assume this won't be the final version of the game because atm I think it sucks :/

I have long been a fan of the battlefield series and was looking forward to this installment, within playing the beta for maybe an hour I decided I wasn't going to purchase the game. Seems odd some of the choices they went with, changing weapon mods whislt in-game and alive was strange.

I've not played this franchise for a long while, Battlefield Vietnam anyone? I do keep up with gaming news and this one did seem to get a poor reception.

People are still playing bf4 and i'm sure previous installments, although I've not played bf4 in around a year it's still a great game.
