- Covenant â€" Religious fanatics that worship the spark.
- Marauders â€" Marauders believe strength and warfare s what it takes to survive on Aerternum.
- Syndicate â€" Believe in the truth and dress up like plague doctors.
I don't mind what we are, I just want to play with you nasty lot of vagabonds and to make this a cool dMw supported game for people to enjoy for a few years.
I don't mind. I think the only things that would sway my vote are certain streamers that we want to be around or any other external factors drawing people to a faction?
I honestly dont have a preference (although rather not be marauder) - for no other reason than the other two sound cooler
I've voted that I don't mind, but personally I enjoyed the golden glow of the Covenant and honestly would probably prefer their armour looks :D
Also voted don't mind. We're not being helpful are we :lmfao:
I'm hoping that Gunda/The Shire (baggins_tv / 360+ on their "The Shire" discord last I looked) and Jewelz/WoW Bunch end up on the same server/faction. Then there really isn't a decision for me.
Perhaps we need a new poll
1. Follow Gunda and the Streamer
2. Follow Jewelz and the WoW guildies
3. Go our own way.

At the moment that doesn't look to be happening, BagginsTV is going with the Covenant, and Jewelz WoW guild is going with the syndicate. They will be on the same server at least but different factions from the looks of it

That's a shame but not the end of the new world. :getmecoat:
I'll be following Jewelz and his crew in this regards, mainly as I figure there's more chance of us actually meeting new people and making some new mates with this lot, than with a larger community that already 'belongs' to a twitch streamer.
My only reason for wanting to go with Bagginstv was I wanted a larger community for playing New World in as it really is a big help having what will end up being 80+ people joining one company (only 100 ppl confirmed playing NW in the shire so far) this helps with buying a region and being able to hold into it.
100k gold to buy one, then gold if you manage to throw a region into conflict to declare war, then you need 50 people online for the war which happens at pre-determined UK time zone friendly times.
The majority of the game can be played solo, but if you want to get high level zone fun and pvp you need groups of people to pull from and my experience of DMW playing these types of games tends to be 4 or 5 people after a couple of weeks and less than that after a couple of months. At the end of the day if we all end up in different factions but on the same server it really doesn't matter too much as you can swap faction after 120days so long as the faction you are joining is not the one that has the most people already.
You can also PvE group with anyone on your server regardless of faction, but no PvP quests or PvP grouping.
I agree that if this game is to have any legs on it then it needs support from out side of dmw be it following Jewels and wow mates or Gunda and his Bagginstv (what ever this is).
For me I would like to see end game content as something I have not seen yet and would like to be a part of. Although the priority for me is playing with you find lovely people that I will be seeing again for the Lan in 3 weeks time....

What worries me with this is, what happens when the company is full and we have a few stragglers wanting to join? Or if we have any trouble in the community? We have no control over the say so. As it stands, I'm in negotiations with my WoW goons to go Covenant for a best of both type scenario. Together with the WoW guild we should have about 40 like minded people in the company at launch.
Will keep you's posted on the outcomes of said negotiations.

Do you need some negotiation help?
I can fish out the speaking horn?
W W W, DOT...
I rarely play religous types, but I'm pretty stoked for Covenant so I can burn the heretics!
Hi gang,
My WoW Guild will be sticking with Syndicate and gave me the following message to relay to you guys.
QuoteW[FONT=&]e are sticking with Syndicate but we would really, really like all of your DMW friends to come and play with us.
We have a few reasons for sticking with Syndicate:
- It was voted for early on by the community (mainly for aesthetic and lore purposes)
- It is not going to be the same as Baggins and will give us a goal to aim for and a consistent battle for territories, rather than steam rolling through all the content. This will help us enjoy New World for a long time to come rather than smashing through everything in a few weeks and getting bored.
- We want to build a community that wants to be part of said community because of it's values and the people in it. Not just having people join to get to the top and then leave when another faction is doing better. We want players that are in it for the long haul.
- We have some people outside of our Community (friends, etc) that have been told we will be on Fae and Syndicate. We don't want people to feel like they are being isolated because we have changed and it hasn't been communicated to everyone.
Our goal is to build a big Company that works together to become a strong force on our server and work together through all aspects of the game. DMW sound like a very like-minded group of people and putting our 2 communities together and adding the extras on from friends of friends is going to help make everyone's experience in New World amazing!
If any of them have any questions, they are more than welcome to message me on Discord (Haymz#6972)

Looking at the poll, its level between the two factions, which I guess gives us the options of:
Join Syndicate and merge with 20 or so like minded players
Join Covenant with Baggins/100 Rando's
Join [Faction] and go our own way
What do people think?
As I've said before, to me it makes more sense to join with a group we already have a connection to (even if that connection is you... :flirty:) than to throw in with a group of strangers. I'm sure this Baggins chap and his merry band of muppets are wonderful, but we don't really know any of them from Adam (...dya get it). You've gamed with both us and these WoWers for years, which is what swings it for me. I'll choose this over going our own way as I like the idea of meeting some new folk, as we could end up making some new mates along the way - and I could always do with more folk buying me beer at the LANs... :norty:
to be really honest I don't mind on which faction it is as I have not really done that much research on it. I feel the joining Jewels wow lot instead of the Baggins lot is the wiser option as I just can see us all getting totally lost in this bigger group. At least in the smaller one we might have some influence on how the house is run for the good of all of us. Plus it is easier to try and get to know 20 odd people than 100.
I do understand peoples reluctance to go with a "streamer", but it doesn't matter now as its all kind of a non-issue. Baggins is going Covenant on the server Amenti (EU) so if we are all going Fae server I care not what faction we go.
I was just looking for lots of people to play New World with as the experience I've had in the various beta's led me to feel the game is best played with a large company. I have no great attachment to gaming with Baggins other than the people i'd grouped up with from his small stream all seemed decent.
Amazon will likely change the server names on release just to fook us all anyhow :P
went with Syndicate as others said they were in it.
