Hi again all,

So with the change in company structure, we need to find a new name that isn't taken.

The obvious choices (dMw, Dead Men Walking) all seem to be taken, so I thought I'd open it up here for suggestions.

Any ideas? Put them down here and we can discuss and go from there! Of course, ideally they need to reflect the community in some way!



I'll make a list of any suggestions here, starting with one Albert threw out yesterday -

I like the idea of this, but check the translation. Google says that one is Walk the Dead. Which is also nice.

Also agree "Mortui Homines Ambulans" looks good to me, unless -=DMW=- is allowed? not taken?

Alright, it's looking like the Latin is popular. I'm going to have a go at renaming the company to this tomorrow, unless we have any major objections in the meantime! :D

Google Translate is REALLY bad at translating into Latin. Just saying. :D

I would say that TL's is closer - except it needs to be Mortui ambulantes - the 3rd declension (plural form) and used for the nominative case.

Defuncti etiam incedentes would also be close which is pretty much the dead walked.


Mortui ambulantes gets my vote (not that it matters). You can also pretty much get the meaning just from looking at the words without needed to translate.

I can perhaps try these first. I've tried a few but can't remember exactly which (I think Deadmen Walking, at least).

I'll have a play later and see where we end up!

And if not, then yep, Dead Ambulances!
