Don't go by IP - BlueYonder keep changing the damn thing. Stick with the name:

blueball.deadmen.co.uk:27016

It should also appear in the steam server listings as:

-=[dMw]=- BlueBall's CS Server

What do you mean it isn't stored in your favourites!!!!!!!

Chimpboy,

Smite put a lot of effort into this map and as we are a clan that plays competitively we need the practice with the big guns.

You may not appreciate the map but we could all do with the practice and maybe improve our l33t skills.

Now be told!  :lmfao:  Frankly, I have nothing against sniper rifles in fact I love the SG550 auto sniper (shame they restricted it) but at least let me see the so 'n' so who took my head off!
1337 skillz! I don't think I'm in danger of getting any, let alone improving them!

Yes an a rather good upgrade of the original it is. No more spawn kills with this one.  It has been made with 32 spawn points which should be interesting at the lan.

I was trying to keep the map quiet as it isn't completely finished... i asked a few people to test it and look for problems.

http://www.smitethee.co.uk/stuff/dmw_snipertowers.zip (http://www.smitethee.co.uk/stuff/dmw_snipertowers.zip)

Please be aware this is not finished and will be changed at some point.

Also i apparently used the vegas.wad in this build if you do not have it go here

Sorry

a ) i didn't know it was a homemade map

b ) i was refering to the fact that it is not a lot of fun for players who don't enjoy rifles, and not commenting on any aspect of map design

I like it ...its a fine sniper map...very dark lots of places to hide.....im not a big fan of the awm but i know i need the practice....

also its big ...big enough to flank people on which always makes for a giggle ...and the size forces you to use the second scope not many maps do that

3 cheers for the smitey

I'm allways used to 1 scope but this should be more interesting. I'm still way of for making my own maps and if I have some more time then I hope I'll make a few myself.

Did you put it in the right file? It should be in:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\YourMail@account.com\counter-strike\cstrike\models\darkness

It doesn't have one but it needs one. That's what I will sort tomorrow.

Make sure the .mdl file that is missing and causing the problems is included. I'm also wondering if we should change it for the hostage version of this map as the de one is still a beta1 version and the hossie one is a beta3 version. It may have all the files and cause less problems.
Title: cs/de wolfenstein
Post by: OldBloke on April 15, 2004, 10:19:40 AM
I've added a res file to ensure that the missing radT.mdl is now downloaded.  :)

Let's see how the map plays before we decide to change to the cs version.

Please don't put the cs version on - not nearly as good as the de version

I found the de version a bit large and the proportions didn't really feel right.  <_<

I like it as there a no obvious choke points really and lots of ways for the ts to vary their attacks making it a much more interesting map to play on.

Hmm, I didn't like this map at all. Full of pointless bits of map architecture, things that look like roof routes but really aren't, a hole in the tunnels that's really difficult to get out of if you step into it by accident. Admittedly I've only played on it once now, but it seemed to be weighted in the CTs' favour, and the way a CT on the cathedral roof can fend off an entire team seems a little stupid.
