I always said a few germs wont kill you. When I was a kid, if you dropped a sweet on the floor you picked it up, wiped it on your jersey (yes, jersey) and popped it back in your mouth. Then you had to pass it on to your sister! By 'eck times were 'ard in my day.

I know what you mean Ron.....when we dropped a sweet in our house the Butler or Maid would pick it up and throw it into the street......where thre poor kids would pick it up, wipe it on their jersey and pop it into their mouths!!

I wouldn't wipe anything on my cardi that I had to put in my mouth! (I can see where this is going, please can we stop it now?) You haven't seen the state of my cardi. :dribble:

Now this I know is blatantly untrue. We could never afford the bus fare to get to your street. In fact buses weren't allowed up your street, only taxis. :(
