This is not related to the recent net upset, however while working on the crosswired router that peers with telecomplete and avensys I was reminded that I really ought to get the new kit in the rack (thats been sitting on my desk for two weeks).
SSoo this weekend (not sure on time or date yet) I'll be swapping out said router for new kit. Unlike previous upgrades this is an upgrade with the kit which sports the specs I've always wanted to have in the rack so it should be oooh at least 12 months before the next upgrade.
The swapping should cause all of 10 mins of network performance disruption.
heh heh heh
10 minutes, you like to curse things don't you.
Top man Stryker, whack that Cisco baby in to that rack :D

Yep you've said the unthinkable, you've estimated a change outage, never do that , WEEEEEEEEEEEERE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMED.
60 min outage then :P
Have you tested it for 3 months in a lab environment?
Only 3 months.........thats not testing thats running it in!!
Ah well I've come to the conclusion that testing is indeed very incomplete so I've put off the install till the weekend after.
The router replacement is planned for Friday night around 9-10pm.
There could be noticable disruption for around 10-15 mins.
Sounds a bit like a Steam update.
:lmfao: :withstupid:

Wot he said.
Don't call me. I don't care. :P
right, benny is a marked man. did I say I've got QOS and traffic shaping on new router?
Hmm. How exactly _do_ you identify pr0n when classifying traffic? LLQ is good, but not that good.
I'm sure counterstrike is in the priority queue though, right Stryker? :D
