Just finished my first case on jury duty!
Now I'm hooked, but they've told us they don't need us for another case.
Don't know if it was anything to do with me asking for the death penalty (how was I supposed to know that you let them go if you find them not guilty?).
The prosecution was obviously a member of the local amateur dramatics team and was definitely playing up to us all the way through.
The defence lawyer was a bit wet , but in the end the evidence was in favour of the defendant and we let him go.
Case was "false imprisonment" and "indecent assault of a sexual nature".
Victim and defendant were both blokes! :eyebrow:
Not guilty both counts!
so your not worried about any come-back having just spilled your guts?
and you say you enjoyed jury duty..... :)
You're just not allowed to discuss it with people outside the jury while the trial is still on, plus the lot of you have to be together as well, otherwise you could be done for rigging the outcome.
Now its over I can't be influenced by outside opinion! (Thats me all over though!) :D
Plus the judge would have told us to keep our gobs shut if we weren't allowed to spill the beans!
Wouldn't he?
Oh oh, time to leave the country!
I think you're safe as English law has public trials i.e. we could have all truned up and heard what you heard.....assuming there were enough seats......and pies for me.
Not even the electric chair? My regarts then....
