I was thinking that we could have a ranking system on the servers. Would be fun to see who is the "best" player. :narnar:
No it wouldn't....

I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you. Individual player rankings would be largely irrelevant in our teamwork environment.
If you're constantly checking your score on these servers, you're missing the point about why we all play here. ;)
No Stats, PLZ! That stuff buggerd CIGS alot. Glad everyone else think of it like that aswell.
No stats, please
If we ever get stats on these servers everyone will find out how really crap I am and that makes me scared :(
And anyway, I enjoy dying for the team - that's more important than individual stats imo.

Bet you're glad you started this thread eh Pep? :D Cadaver put it best I think.
Although it's natural to want to see if you're keeping your end up, you ought to check the team scores first.
You can always check your own standing by looking how you play every time on the server ;) (then also make sure that you are not always playing with the same people in 1 team)
Poor old Peppster. He's probably hiding under his bed now you heartless beasts.
Why not:
"Hey nice suggestion my friend. It's great to see someone thinking about making the dMw servers a better place to play. So hats off to you for making the suggestion and showing your commitment to the community.
Now it's just a thought but the real strength of TCS is the team orientated approach. It's about how we help to achieve the teams goals rather than how well we do as a player that count. So, and don't take this badly, do ya think stats is the best way to go? Honestly? Yeah you see it might not be such a great idea. That's right, it might make some of us more interested in our own ranking rather than the quality of the team based game we play. You've got it, you're talking sense now my friend. No you're right, stats aren't really appropriate here. You're a smart fella and spot on the money.
So thanks for your valuable input and we'll leave things as they are. See you soon, Bye"
Now that's how you deal with someone who suggests a totally moronic idea...see?
;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
Quotewho is the "best" player.
we all know that king of git'ness would be at the top spot.
If he really wants to measure himself up against the men we could just have a todger length league table and be done with it :D
Benny might have a micrometer he can clean off
Oh dear, like any worthwhile thread in this forum, it very soon plumbs the depths of depravity. Filthy beasts!
If not ranking by how many you kill but how many rounds you have won? 1 point per round you have won (I now that that will benefit those who play much but it could be fun). It´s more of the TCS style but you also get a clue whicj level you are at.

.............. how many rounds you have won?
YOU have won? No, unless everyone else on your team self detonated at spawn, you did not do it on your own. You may well have been the last man standing and killed the last opponent to win the round but............ :worship: (that's hands up in resignation not worship.)
We do have stats but not for open public play (Matches only) ....we used to have them and it caused some people to play for stats and not as a team... <_<
We can use the results from match play a reasonable guide on skillz and availability but even then its still has flaws as the same players dont play the same opponents/maps/positions but its as good as it will get (They must have flaws as I am not top :D)
The only stats i do like are the damage stats hits gained and hits taken
If there was a good way to track teamwork we would have it but the only way to do that is to play with people and see if they are around when needed

There may be no "i" in "team", but if you look really closely you can see "me".
