We are currently providing a public CZ server at:
193.110.88.20:27018
For those of you that were, like me, daft enough to buy CZ then please use this server to show the CZ playing public how we play TCS.
Bots are enabled so joining an empty server will provide you with instant action.
Thanks OB, I'll try it l8eron.
15 real players on already.
So oldie u saying not to buy CZ?
In it's present state, all you'd be buying is a single player game that's buggy and rediculously difficult in places, a second single player game that's so good VALVe named it 'Deleted Scenes', bots, a couple of new maps and retextured old maps. However, because the maps can be copied to your existing CS folder it is really just the single player modes and bots. No new weapons, no new engine, no new high-poly models and, worse of all, CZ online needs it's own dedicated server.
So unless you've got a spare £20 pound note laying around I'd suggest waiting for CS2 which, if it ever surfaces, will use the new HL2 engine.

Basically, yes. That's to say, 'save your money'! You're not missing a thing.
Sorry to say but there's no TCS possible, was playing on the server at italy and the bots just rushed up CTspawn. :( Plus an admin online might be hadny aswell, had a guy which was swearing alot. Forgot his SteamID tho. I must say that I had a few GG's on dust tho.
There were quite a lot of ppl on this afternoon but many left because of the bots. Should we try to turn them off?
thx for heads up - its bloody $80 over here so not that keen if it is not any good. I will wait until november and get a 2 for 1 deal with HL2.

Hmm, a serious flaw methinks - guess I won't go buy CZ just yet then ...

Can't you get it shipped otherwise?
For the rest I suggest you don't buy it. I played a bit on the server and it was nice but I couldn't do a thing then say: Plz don't swear, plz behave, it looked like a kindergarden in there. Then there came this German fella on who wonderd why I was using English when I'm Dutch. I explained the serverlanguage but he still didn't get it. I even had to use my German again. Got a bit fed up in the end and told: Immer gerade aus. ;)
The Eternal CZ Debate.
A little inside information on CZ.
First some History. When Cliffe (Modder that created the game that ruined our free time and sanity) sold CS to Valve one of the terms of the sale was that CS would remain free for the community now and forever.
So Valve owned CS, the biggest and baddest online game around and couldnt make any money from it. What to do?
They now have CZ which is nothing more than a CS update however its not CS its CZ, a product owned by Valve with nothing stopping them charging as they please.
Now this is where the sneaky evil mind starts ticking.
Will Valve keep updating CS? I think CS updates will start becoming thin on the ground. Only Updates that effect the HL Engine will make any changes to CS.
I must admit I like CZ, it runs better the money from it is bolstering the VAC team and VAC is currently causing real problems for the cheating community.
Even if you forget all the other changes I would be very happy to pay £20 for CZ so valve can increase the VAC team and kill off the cheats.

Amen to that.
:withstupid: :withstupid:
What always suprises me is how none of you guys actually step up and admit that CS while hugely successful etc. etc, came out years ago and how you've definately got your money's worth by now.
I went out and bought CZ to support the next phase in developing this fantastic multiplayer game. There is little doubt in my mind that 1.6 will be phased out. After all, why would you need to support both games that are essentially the same? Sure the single player game was a POS but that's not why I laid down my twenty quid.
The sooner we come to realise this the better.
I have no intention of spending £20 for something I already have!!!!!
I shall wait for a version of CS based on HL2 (OK I may wait a long time but I believe it will be better - decent physics, maybe I wont get shot through rocks and walls any more)
ooooh i've wanted to do this for such a long time ............... :withstupid:
I can't join the cs:cz sever I get a model error is 0 should be 30 or something like that.

Make a note of which one it is then delete it from your CZ folder.
