Again I feel the need to post in this branch of the forums, and yes it’s another film review. I feel that my last efforts have left some of you slightly disappointed, and I must admit that upon rereading them myself there does seem to be a theme forming. So for my next review I thought that perhaps a change was required, so here goes:

Kill Bill

Vol.2

It was great

Yes, it was great. Much better than Vol 1, the 'training' part was brilliant ;)

Sorry...but i found it a real let down.

Almost seems like he started to make a film with Vol 1 .....then got bored.

I watched this (and vol 1 previously) and my 2cents:

Vol 1 - visually stunning, but very little else.

Vol 2 - like Vol 1, but without the visually stunning bit  <_<

Enough material for 1 great 2 hour film, not nearly enough for double that.  Vol 2 has some nice touches like the training scene which pays homage to all those sixties kung-fu exploitation movies, and it's nice to see Carradine back - Tarrantino has a great talent for rediscovering talent that's gone to seed (Forrster, Willis, Travolta, Grier, Hannah).  Apart from that though there ain't much to recommend it.

All in all this just stinks of a huge vanity project gone awry because of Quentin's and Weinstein's massive ego's  :(

Kill Bill 2 was an excellent film. It returned to the more traditional tarantino style, with a trademark epithet on the state of humanity, the "superman" speech.
The second film is also far more atmospheric, and actually boasts original material, not a cast of characters ripped off from various other films and cartoons.
I'm not going to do a Smilo and dissect it all, bvut safe to say it is well well worth the admission price.

No no, my critique lacks the diahorreic qualities to truly offer a worthy alternative to the masterful (if sometimes wrong ;) ) reviews of yours  :P

I'll have you know I am NEVER wrong, just occassionally factually inconsistent.
