My son plays in a under 10's football team ...who ..to be fair have struggled through the season with parents taking charge of them for both matches and practices since the trainer "walked out" when the season was 2 weeks old (approx. Sept. last year )

They have had their ups and downs this year .........

but today they played in the clubs first ever cup final ...and won 2 - 1 ....against probably the most obnoxious and ignorant side in their league ....the comments from their trainers and managers shouting from the sidelines .."if ya can't get the ball ..take the player!!" is still ringing in my ears ...and to top the day off my son scored the opening goal to take us into a deserved half time lead.

You can probably understand why I have had a few drinks to celebrate and he can have the choice of whatever food to order tonight

The whole team will be presnted with the cup and winning medals in a ceremony at the end of the season by Mansfield Town players @ a plush Hotel @ Mansfield District Council's cost......nic eto get something back for a change !!!!!!

WELL DONE MITCHELL !!!!!!!!!!!

MAD is one proud DAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd also like to add a well done for not assaulting the other teams trainer! a comment like that to under 10s is appauling (.."if ya can't get the ball ..take the player!!")
