You may be aware that Dead Men Talking uses Invision Power Board as it's forum software. We are currently using v1.3 but version 2 is nearing completion and I intend to move across to this version when it's available.

If you'd like to see the some of the added features v2 will offer then take a look here. (http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=121231)

Whee! I'm getting my own tags :D

QuoteUpgrading from 1.3 to 2.0.0

There is currently no upgrade path from 1.3 to 2.0.0. We plan on writing the upgrade script for around PDR 3 (Beta 3). Until then please don't try and import a 1.3 database into 2.0 - it simply won't work.
Maybe not :(

The end is near.  :)

We should see the full release of v2.0 in the next two weeks.

I'm delighted to see it doesn't allow for text speak. All posts not containing the requisite number of vowels will be autodeleted. A much needed upgrade

Nope. It means though that I can block any posts from e.g. marsvolta    ;)

No. We can selectively decide who's posts get corrupted and can keep the rest . Sorry mars

Or to be more truthful I believe there is an upgrade function that allows you to upgrade the database and migrates everything across although OB is te expert :)
