Title: a patch
Post by: Grimnar on April 24, 2004, 01:12:24 PM
Version 1.1 of CS:CZ will be released next week via Steam. The update includes a new "Buy Package" system for buying favorite loadouts quickly, the CS:CZ Custom Mission Creation Kit, all new player and weapon models, new audio content, and other enhancements.

The new purchase system features four user-definable “Buy Packages.” Each Package represents a complete equipment load out, allowing players to define everything from their primary weapon to how much ammo to buy to fallback options if money is tight.

With the CS:CZ Mission Creation Kit, MOD authors can create their own Tour of Duty Mission Packs with custom challenges, bot personalities, bot skins, and more. These MOD Mission Packs can then be distributed to players as Zip files. When installed, the new mission pack will automatically appear within CZ’s mission menu.

I didn't get where I am today by using some kind of "buy package"

Fast-fingered buying is how it's done :D

---

Though I am now starting to wonder if it's worth getting CZ after all. Feh.

lol so you buy like b,3,4  <-- or something like that

I use a buyscript press 1 key and you have your weapon + ammo + kevlar
press a other key and you have your nades.

In total 10 buttons for the weapons i use plus the rest of the stuff i need or use ;)

But it is still about how you like to play the game ;)

I used to use a buyscript, but frankly I'm just as fast with my fingers now pretty much - I get everything bought well within the pre-round freeze time. The only problems occur when I buy a scout by accident *shakes his fist at 1.6 changing everything around*

Also, when I had a buyscript I'd just end up with the same two or three loadouts, which got repetitive.

Also #2, the 1.6 "re-buy previous" is very handy too.

It's just automatic now. I'm in-tune with CS, man!

So now I'll be getting updates for CS and CS:CZ, there's no more time for normal playing then. It'll just be downloading patches then  :(

Did you seriously expect anything else?  I think now 1.6 and Steam is stable (more or less) you'll not see any significant content/gameplay upgrades apart from minor tweaks.  I may be wrong, but why would they?

CZ is the only thing Valve will put their time into and (prepares to get shot down) why shouldn't they seeing as they are a commercial entity.  If 1.6 works then you can see why they'll just mothball the thing and eventually pull it.  They aren't a NFP after all.

Well said Chimpy, I can only bow down to your forsight in doing as you did and purchasing CZ, it was obviously the right thing to do and everyone should follow your fine example. Three cheers for Chimpy

Don't get me wrong Zokky - I don't play CZ cause it's TANGO.  I bought it and was thoroughly disappointed.  The bots are great, but that's the only thing I like, and there are better fps for me to play than single player CZ.  My previous post still remains valid though.

p.s. didn't you buy it?  Someone said you did.
