Post by: Gh0st Face Killah on May 15, 2004, 02:24:01 PM
Dear Mr Admin sir,

Could we have another weekend trial on homer please. I would like to try de_suburbs, de_osaka, de_medieval and de_sahara please.

Kind regards

Gh0st Face Killah.

OK. Here's the skinny.

I've created another 'weekend special' on Homer. Rotation is:

de_medieval
de_52costadelsol
de_suburbs_b2
de_sahara

I've not included de_osaka because it's still an alpha project.

All maps are set to be delivered via speedy http.  :)

Yeehaa!  Today, about 10 months after emailing the author of cs_waterside, I received a reply. He had changed email addresses and I guess never got my emails.

So, do any of our map editing guru's want to have a go at ironing the bugs out of cs_waterside for use on the CZ server while we wait for Sean's Source version?

QuoteMy e mail has changed since i made the map cs_waterside...

however, and you are one of the only people to know about this. My friends are always buging me about my next map so i tell them nothing now.

shortly after waterside came out cs source was released. At that point i new i would redo waterside for source. I have just started it and it is looking even better then the original. As far as making it for cs 1.6 i just can not see going back and working on it again. I spent 6 months on it the first time and it was driving me nuts. And the limitations in cs 1.6 are really what slowed me down. I was always trying to make the map more efficient and finally gave up and jsut madde it the way i wanted it.

But since i am not going to mess with the 1.6 version, if you are still interested in having someone take a look, you are more then welcome to it. Just let me know.

My new e mail is <>

again sorry about taking so long getting back to you guys, i never new my map made it to so many sites and servers but it is awesome that it did...

BB, PM me with a list of the bugs and I will see what I feel up to playing with.  No promises, but I'll have a look.

Why fiddle with it when we could simply find a decent map that works. My memories of waterside don't mark it out as anything magical.

I loved waterside because it was one of the few maps that makes good use of the vertical - too may maps are "flat" IMHO :)

Assuming they don't have any bugs there should be no problem just bunging them up for a bit. Anything that is gernerally felt to be quality can stay. IMHO
