Post by: Cannon Fodder on May 28, 2004, 12:02:46 AM
This atchually happened a while ago but-

I noticed that my CT ppl have Police spelled the dutch way or something on the skins... Could someone send me the original skins for em?

Also, how would I put em in? Never moddeled b4....

Used to always play on FY_POOLDAY and a lot were dutch servers. Im sure one of em did it... Always bugged me.. Wanna see if this can get fixed...

Reinstall everything I'd say, especially after what your brother did.

Did it say: Politie?
I don't understand how it could have changed btw.

i backed up all the original skins when I installed (coz this happened to me before). Icannot remember how big the files are but I'll check at home and let you know.
If they are not too big I can arrange for you to get them somehow (ftp or weblink) :)

As its steam you should just be able to go into your models/player directory and delete the skins there, and then steam will revert to the defaults. Might want to get a second opinion before you go deleting tho...

If you don't have any back up from your cs stuff.

Then reinstall it (first delete everything ;) ) then install it and make a back up.

ill try deleating the skins... (after backing up)...

Errr.. not about to format AGAIN. About 4 months ago i formated my HD like once every 2 weeks cuz it kept getting this blue screen.... But i found the problem and stopped, so i havnt had a problem...

I recently downloaded bout 1.5 gig of stuff and i dont have a CD-RW nor have the cash for one right now... :(

Even though I have Road runner (high speed cable internet) it still takes 15 mim for a 200mb file....  and l8ly my internets been popping in and out. A guy is supposed to come tuesday bout it. I hate comming back to my comp to find my internet popped out when it was half way done... Not fun...

I must have been asleep when I posted the above. Yes I did backup CS but unfortunately it was 1.5. As was mentioned previously, deleting custom skins in your

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\email@address\counter-strike\cstrike\models

folder should sort things out.
