It was great.
QuoteOriginally posted by smilodon@Jun 7 2004, 11:57 PMI meant touch as in "inspired by" (one of the leads was in Twin Peaks, but that isn't so relevant in context of what we're discussing). Watching it instantly reminded me at times of Twin Peaks, parts of Blue Velvet, and Mulholland Drive.
Exactly what did Lynch have to do with this film?

So while you're sitting there drooling over the next blockbuster to be released I think I’ll pop down to blockbuster and see what other gems I may have overlooked.
QuotePlot Summary forPlease tell me it does'nt end up with them being hacked to death.
Dreamcatcher (2003)
Four friends sruggling with life meet in the Maine woods for their annual hunting trip. When a stranger stumbles in to their camp disoriented mumbling things about lights in the sky the four friends put in a struggle with a psychotic army colonel and a being that has taken control of one of their minds.
QuoteOriginally posted by Zok@Jun 10 2004, 09:01 PMAvoid Dreamcatcher like a dose of something nasty - Dingo must have been on the sauce when he recommended this. It's bloody awful and Freeman deserves far better than this. I almost switched off when that "shit monster" appeared in the bathroom
Spotted Dreamcatcher on the shelves last time I was in but:QuotePlot Summary forPlease tell me it does'nt end up with them being hacked to death.

I have to agree with Chimpy here. Even from the trailers I thought that it wasn't worth watching, when I saw it I had my worst fears confirmed. It is a truely aweful film.

Forget plot, characterisation, emotional depth, social commentary, humour, or cinematography. Instead grab a copy of "Jason X" and marvel at a Dingo "classic" <_< Paul Ross better watch out - he has some competition as a reviewer ;)

There are far far better examples of the hacking, slashing genre of horror films out there than this piece of drivel. I give you the following short list. Hellraiser 1 or 2 Friday the 13th pt 1 Helloween Cannibal Ferox Cannibal Holocaust Even Wrong Turn, which in itself is not a particulaly good film, Its still better than Dreamcatcher.
