Just wondering whats the biggest hard disk you can get for £100 or less, and from where?

Come on, with all those pron lovers in dMw I'm sure someone has a recommendation :-)

IBM ... IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIK!

Stay away from the 120 GXP series. It is known to crash.

Go with a Seagate Barracuda V, Western Digital or Samsung. They have all done well in tests.

I am going to buy a Seagate B V 120GB with 8 MB cache.

I thought it was the 60GXP range that was crud. The 120 GXP was brought out to replace it. I have 2 x 60Mb 120GXP disks in a RAID 0 and they are excellent (60 to 80MB/s transfer from the RAID)

At my work many of the 120GXP HDs have crashed and burned ... just from experience. Nothing else.
