The Admins have been discussing a number of issues that have occurred recently which have had an impact in some way upon dMw in a less than positive way. Several members of Alpha or Bravo were mentioned and your name was amongst them. The details of the discussions are private, but can I take this opportunity to remind you of the following:

  • Please realise that when you are known as a dMw member or are wearing the dMw tag that your actions will reflect upon our entire community. So when you post in another forum, play on another server, or just kick around in irc, your behaviour and attitude towards others should always be exemplary, particularly when the dMw wings are attached to your name. Far more people than you realise know of dMw and the information and feedback we receive from other clans or admins comes from far and wide. When you TW or TK someone on another server because they were ticking you off you'd be amazed at just how often the story gets passed back to us! Your actions have a direct impact upon dMw's reputation!
  • TCS grew out of PCS and the community has a core of players that have played this style of CS for over 3 years now.  Healthy debate is always encouraged, hence we have active TCS section on the forums, but beware of posting up answers to TCS questions where you yourself do not fully understand TCS yet.
  • Our forums see well over 100 new posts every single day. Many of the forum topics are not seen by Alpha or Bravo Company members as they are private to Charlie, Delta, Admins, TCS Admins, match squads etc. So as a member of Bravo you see about half the forum topics that are there. So for a dedicated Charlie Company member or Admin you can imagine that it can take some considerable time to read through all of the posts on the forums each day. Now ask yourself how other dMw members feel when they come across one of your regular nightly sessions of 'posting a reply to every single topic on the forum'. There have been some occassions when substantial numbers of replies have been posted, almost none of which made any positive contribution to the thread. Friendly banter is good but relevant comments are appreciated more, so don't post a reply or comment *just* because you can!
Setting my Clan Leader hat to one side for a moment I would like to make a personal comment. The other day you contacted me via MSN for help with your computer. I know that you publicly thanked me for my time on the forums and I appreciate that, but you should also know that my initial response when you contacted me was that you were bloody rude! You just delivered a curt message to me with a 'demand' to fix *your* problem. As it happens I was in the middle of some client work, but you never bothered to say hi, ask if I was busy or would mind sparing the time, you never even said thanks until the forum post afterwards! So my advice to you is to try to think a little more about how others perceive your actions - how would you feel if those things were done/said/written to or about you? Go work on those interpersonal skills!

I know this PM may come as a bit of a shock to you, but please take it in the right spirit. The above comments are not general knowledge outside the admins and will remain private. But they are serious comments we urge you to consider. We want to encourage positive participation in the community, but sometimes it seems you need to just hold yourself in check a little ;)

See you on the servers.
