Hi all :)
Rightio, my ISP = Pipex, but pipex, well they've given me a bit of a crappy email address... its "aoum84@pipex.dsl.net.com.crap.co.uk" or summat like that :)
And i dont like it obviously...
so i have a "unaimed@binary-pulse.co.uk" simply forwarding to my pipex email address... but as much as i like that email address, it isn't professional enough for me now, so i'd like to get myself a more professional name forwarding to it... so i can use the more professional email address for job prospects and all that :P
Sadly, i am to pikey to pay for anything...
so i'm looking for something like "BunceR@something professional.com.net.co.uk"
is anyone able to hepl me at all?
How cheap is cheap?
Buy a domain, they are pennies nowadays. Failing that....errr....I've got 3 or 4 that may help?
Bunce@vegbians.com
Bunce@wherewereyou.co.uk
Bunce@meatlocker.co.uk
Admittedly you'd have to rely on me, and I struggle to breathe at times. But hey, I'm sure someone can help.
Ahhh vegbians. We still wait in anticipation.
Go to Domain City and get yourself a domain as Benjamin says. They give you free mail forwarding.
I'd lend you my
bunce@sex_offender.org.uk or
bunce@virus_writers_and_hackers.co.uk
but I'm not sure you'd do well with them :(
Get an account with freeola who have zillions of domains already setup for you get a mail address on.

Bunce@vegbians.com
I'd go with that one, you'll be absolutely populair with it aswell.
bunce@loveboat.com
Sorry Benny. gaylord@loveboat.com is allready taken.
rofl .. ive got Dan@lubewarriors.com :-) [ soon when ma webbys up :D]
I use emailaccount.com they are free and you get 6mb of storage on their server can send largish attachments etc etc. Plus they don't get the spam hotmail or yahoo do.
Nice 1 GFK, I've signed up for an account up there allready. Cheers
Thanks for help:) how about a little more tho? :P
Gone to domain city, registered etc, just need to think of a domain now, and i'm struggling, can anyone give me "serious" suggestions? (professional)
:D
It might help if you told us what your job was so we could come up with one. If not why not use your own name. firstname@secondname.com
hmmm, i'll def think about that 1:D
Erm, job is to go somewhere into IT...
but i suppose thats not alot of help.
and this isn't JUST for a job really, its just so its a bit more professional for people other than m8's... but i guess that doens't matter either :P
carry on :P
initialsurname@emailaccount.com is what I use for my work email address.
You'll find most of the good stuff has been snapped up. Then again there are always a few gems lying undiscovered. I managed to get webfire.org.uk in 2002 and was amazed that no one had nabbed it sooner.
Space stuff often works well. Seriously, jupiter.org.uk or mecury.co.uk always sound high tech. I own neutron.org.uk as well so scientific names work too. Ultimately though it's all a matter of personal preference.
they sound good to me... thinking begins...
arg, failed :P

I do exactly this
mike@mikebeane.com for professional
and
rabbibob@rabbibob.com for play
Both go to the email box :P
heh, and I got @registryerror.co.uk but I dunno how people react when I write down my email on sign-up sheets as "spam@registryerror.co.uk" heh heh heh
lol
for many sign up lists I am root@127.0.0.1

cunning! I shall try to remember that one!
thing is, ...I actually receive all the spam@registryerror.co.uk mail! Not that many people (well, not the ones with hand-written entries) have actually started using it so far... Not a terribly legit suonding email address I guess
Sorry bout this all, i'm still struggling to find a good short name for my domain...
Anyone able to chuck aload of names at me? preferably not abbusive.
i'd like it to be short, so if 2 words, then 2 short words, like "digitech" i ike that one, but its taken :(
