To a large extent, if you are on the other side of the map and the bomb goes down then that's your problem not ours ;) Your team should have been there and keeping you posted as to what was going on so that you weren't so isolated and out of position. Adding extra seconds to the bomb timer to help offset what must have been poor CT comms is not what we should do imho.
TL.
keep to match settings as has been said :)
I understand the point and i do believe it would be more interesting with more time. However keeping it at match settings is probably the best way to keep it. As you dont really want to get into a bad habit for matches.
I agree with everyone. :D . I am a happy person. :D

I say put the bomb to 20 minutes, then atleast when I lag out during defusing I have a chance ;) .
For the matches and so I voted for the current settings.
What's with all the 'matches' references?
Sod the matches, the question is 'would a longer bomb timer improve TCS'?

Sod the matches, the question is 'would a longer bomb timer improve TCS'? Maybe but i don't think it would help to much. Now you have a sort timer so your teamwork has to be good and fast... With a longer timer people think ooohh i can get a drink before trying to defuse the bomb <_<
One point about matches. it goes back to a post I made about Aztec. in a match if I was guarding the bomb room.and a DD rush was called. I would start to cross the bridge straight away. in TCS I will have to wait for the bomb to be planted (losing 10 or so seconds, in my counter attack). so you could say adding 10 secs to the timer brings it closer to a match anyway.
One more thing and I'll shut up.
Aren't we supposed to as the defending team. defend the site we are in until the bomb is spotted. not just run the other site at the first site of a T. dust 2 is a good example where a longer timer would improve TCS.
That's it I'll shut up now.

Ehrm, Armitage, anyone's opinion counts. Community remember! ;)

That's it I'll shut up now. I agree with the 'tige. A longer timer would make some interesting games. What would make them even better would be a variable timer.....that would be suspenseful and sweet.
