Match Notes:
The match started a little late due to some 'no shows' but fortunately Waster & Brass stepped in to make up the numbers along with Charlie Company's -=[dMw]=-Zok. Thanks for helping us out fellas
I have to apologise for not balancing the teams too well - I got it totally wrong and as a result the first half was a bit lop-sided :( Bravo pulled out a good lead early on and finished the round 11-1. They won throughthe use of varied tactics and simple over-powering the CTs on the furst half of the match. They were also helped by the fact that 2 of the Bravo-ish team did not have buy-scripts, so they were far slower out of spawn than was needed to beat things like a B rush. Performance of the first half was Cadaver's record throughout the whole first 12 rounds. Nicely played Bravo.
The second half started out much like the first when Bravo won the first 3 rounds, but then Bravo-ish really put the thinking hats on and started to vary their tactics and slowed the pace fo the game right down. This clearly beat the Bravo's teams grey matter as they were racing around like squirrels on speed and as a result made a huge amount of noise. Bravo-ish showed excellent patience in waiting for peeps to stick their heads out and then shooting them  Bravo-ish manged to claw their way back into this half and ran out a comfortable 7-5 winner as T.
Learning point for the second half for Bravo had to be (i) be patient and (ii) learn to vary your position each round (I won;t mention GhostMjr here as it would be unfair ;)). Performance of the second half was Zok almost turning a 1v4 scernario into a win. Played Z :worship:
Minor point - some of the Bravo and Bravo-ish teams clearly need to pay more attention to controlling the recoil on their weapons. Allowing for the 'high crosshair' bug within steam as a spectator, the crosshairs often ended up pointing at the sky instead of at the target who was in the process of shooting you. Keep it to short bursts, keep pulling that crosshair down as the recoil pushes it upwards.
All in all it was a great match to spectate despite the apparently lop-sided scores, it was in fact a lot closer than that. We may even do it again :D

:-D hope u had fun guys :)
Get some more organised.
and TL
you can sure amuse me with relation to somthing ;) ROFL its endless humour
wink wink
Well played all, looks like you had a nice game. :dmw: :thumb:
Yeah it was fun. Thanks for admininninng TL. :D :winkiss:
One piece of advice if your CT, if you spawn near B go to B if your near to A go A. We had a few moments when people were running all the way across spawn to get to a site. That takes precious seconds which let the T's get the jump on us.
As CT's don't go hunting for them. Cover the routes to the site from the site and let them come to us.
Also having one in the middle to watch short A can be useful.
I'm as guilty as the next person for these little faux pas
gg all :D thanks for playing, admining, organising, etc, etc
I'd almost forgotten what matches were like...now I want more! :taz:
I nearly forgot the time. Got engrossed in another game and when I suddenly remembered and looked at my clock it read 20:28  squeezed myself in there with precious seconds to spare

I don't like my score for the second half but the first half was better hehe ;) It was a good game and i wish to thank tl as many others i think do aswell for giving us a very informative but relaxed debrief and warmup! we were all anxious to play but we did get into the swing of things! I hope we can do this again some time and mayb for a alternative view have mayb two admins for one opinion and then the other as a thought! otherwise well done all bravo i am proud of us all! ;)
Was a cracking wee game.
Seems the talk about doing this went on for months....and eventually we did it. Thanks to all involved....a special big thanks to TL for playing mum and keeping us ropey old Bravos in line. Cadaver was especially sadako like in the first half....and Peppster in the second half was a bad man to be up against.
Rather than start another thread and talk about doing this again....i propose that we do it on a regularish basis....every couple of weeks/ once a month...plan a day and stick to it ?
Cheers All :D
Apologies for missing the match.
Completely forgot about it :(
/me grovels on the floor for forgiveness
/me slaps target upside the head with an extremely large mackerel

i thought something smelt fishy ;)
(yea i agree neil) matches on regular basis i say if its possible evry 3 weeks thats if there arent any zombie matches or owt goin off?
ne 1 want to start it off again?
Definitely more!!!
I reckon we should decide on a day of the week which'd be good for matches and then pick dates if we want to make it regular. I think my best day for matches would be Thursday, my better days for availability are Mon/Tues/Thurs. RL stuff often takes out the rest of the week
Perhaps we should include Charlie members from the start for these matches as well, just so there's more potential players?
yea i agree im avaliable wen ever tell me a date and ill be there!!! (looks in to sky starts day dreaming about being superman...then bird drops one (its all sloppy and dripping on to my nose) .....eewwwwww!!)
Currently one or other of the four dMw match squads plays on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. As any Bravo matches would need both Admin support and possibly also Charlie Company player support, it is something we would have to think very carefully about due to the resources issue. We also do not want the MeatHook gaming population decimated as there is 'another' match on. We need to be careful here! I for one have no problem with an occassional match like this one, Charlie Company could even provide an opposition for you to play against, but a regular match may cause us resource or other issues.
You have to remember that if you (as a Bravo member) are keen on matchplay then your personal priority might be to work towards meeting the minimum standards expected to become eligible to apply for membership of Charlie Company. I should point out that membership of Charlie Company is neither automatic, nor a right, but it does provide the matchplay that some of you may desire. The standards applied when assessing an application to join Charlie Company are a great deal higher than those we expect Bravo members to maintain. When the Admins assess an application for Charlie Company they assess it in the round - excellent sharp shooters who are socially inept and rarely get involved in dMw life would probably not be admitted ;)
May I ask all peeps interested in the next Bravo match to 'hold that thought' for just a wee while please? The Admins have a number of things ongoing at the moment that are a bigger priority and we will come back to this discussion in due course.
Thank you.
TL.
wp lads.

I refer the yellow furry-headed member to my previous post which he clearly neither read nor understood. :nope:
And I use the word 'member' advisedly.
