I got my current headset from maplins (http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=040723231712594&moduleno=3727&Products=1) a good few years ago. It's a head-clamper with pretty decent isolation (cutting out RL sound) and good sound for games. Nice bass, and pretty pleasing for only £20
but...
one of the earpads had come unglued and steadfastly refuses to be glued back on, and everyone complains about my microphone in CS these days (they used to say I was muffled, but seemed to understand everything I said until a few months ago...
anyway, I was thinking about buying a new headset, only this time I'd like to get one that has a decent mic as well as decent speakers! I'd prefer closed-cup supra-aural (sp?) ones for better isolation and comfort, but don't fancy paying too much. I don't really want the standard foam-around-a-speaker type heasets because I find them horribly lacking
anyhow...
suggest away :D
I get the feeling it's something to do with my steam install, but can't think what...

Ditto. Cheap and superb quality with good bass and a reliable high quality mic.
