Title: Help me before I do something bad
Post by: smilodon on July 30, 2004, 05:19:39 PM
Here (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/07/29/dixons_manhunt/)

I have this game and have played it lots. I'm turning myself in to the police.

Seriously the Daily Vomit leads with the rediculous Playstation Killed my Son rubbish and the world goes insane. I buy almost nothing from Dixons and it's shyster offshoots but will make a point of giving them a miss altogether from now on.

Exactly, so it's not Rockstar that need punishing but the boys idiot parents for letting him play an 18 rated game. Or it would be if there was even the slightest correlation between playing violent games and killing people...which there isn't.

Incidentally it's a little known fact that 97% of people who die in air disasters have eaten some form of pickled vegetable withing the previous six months but no one thinks to sue Cross & Blackwell do they!

I am so glad I don't like pickled veggies.

Aaanyway, yes. This isn't a "ogm lets ban video gamez" thing - it ought to be a "let's actually enforce the age recommendations on video games" issue. Shee, you wouldn't be trying to ban Reservoir Dogs if some 15 year old hacked off another kid's ear after watching it - you'd just sue the pants off the person who sold the movie to the kid.

Git, I can't think of anything to say to that, so I'll waste a post telling you so and console myself in the fact that I've at least wasted 2 minutes of your life making you read this crap.

So Smilo, you wasted an additional two minutes (or more) writing that autoresponse, then another couple of minutes correcting the typo you left in there.

I think Benny wins this round. :P

Getting such a reply against Benny is a classic. There are not many on here so I´ll give it a 9 out of 10.
