was wandering if this Motherboard (http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/components/motherboardsandaccessories/productView.htm?quicklinx=37WN) with its on board raid can be paired up with 2 of these Headdrives (http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/components/harddiskdrives/internalide/productView.htm?quicklinx=2FZR) ?

Yes, but be aware that on some mobos you need to have a serial drive attached initially to allow the SATA drivers to be loaded.

If your mobo is one of the ones that needs a normal IDE drive to load the SATA drivers, then yes.  Assuming you want to run RAID 1 then order is:

Install the OS on an IDE drive.
Then install SATA drivers.
Then install a SATA drive.
Then build the array.
Wait whilst the IDE drive is mirrored onto the SATA drive.
Remove IDE drive and replace with another SATA drive.
Use the RAID software to rebuld the array.

Job done.

If you want to run RAID 0 then things change slightly at the point you remove the IDE drive.  Having built a RAID 1 array to get a mirror on the SATA drive, you then delete the array, add the new SATA drive and then build the RAID 0 array and wait for tthe data to be striped.
