Guys, Is there a serious issue with the CZ server that is causing it to crash so frequently?

I was think that if we were serious about having a CZ server with a PW on it, we might want to consider having a whip-round and get some funds together.

I'm gonna try an experiment and switch the CZ server over to the other nic card.

Amusing but not funny BB.  :eyebrow:

More to the point. I've played on other CZ servers for long periods of time and have yet to have one crash on me. The dMw server crashes almost daily. If this is a Valve issue, how come it's not the same for all CZ servers?

OB is working hard on the case. Could be as simple as some file or setting that is causing prob. I'm sure he will get to bottom of it but I'm sure you will appreciate that troubleshooting anything like this takes time especially when we do it for the love of it in our spare time :D

It takes even more time when you have pretty much ruled out our hardware and software set up as the cause.  A lot of time and effort is going into this problem resolution, bear with us please folks, normal service will be resumed shortly.

No, the problem started when it was cold!  Anyway, the server farm is fully air conditioned.

Not much to go on but, I just had 3 lag episodes at exactly 15 min intervals then 15 mins later a server crash.(hint) :eyebrow:

Also lagg episodes are not like lagg I get from kids etc as ping dont increase on  player list . <_<

I left the CZ server running all night with out any bots ... and it's still up.

Now either it's the bots that cause it to be unstable or, because no-one joins unless there's bots, it's players.

So there's our answer. We will put a password on the CZ server and not tell anyone what it is. Then, by also not running any bots, the server will be reliable but unusable :huh:
