what sort of ping glass we look at?
Sounds good Sheep, something subtle...
QuoteSounds good Sheep, something subtle...
Aye ...somthing like THIS (http://www.zacke.at/ebay/images/20040312-krug621-haupt.jpg) should do :D
Sounds good Sheepy, how much extra to be personalised ie. each persons psuedonym/gaming name? Add me to the above list whatever you decide. I can be as sad as anybody
i dont know if each individual one could be personalised, i will have to check with the bloke that will be doing the etching, i already got him down quite a bit on the price as hge is just going to do it as a gap fill job. i just need to get some pint galsses. im reconing on doing 24of them as thats how many pint glassas you get in a box.
Can I have a half pint schooner for £6? :D Nnot being tight, I just hate drinking out a pint glass ;)
Name on post but not on list plz amend sheepy ;)
Yeah always need another pint glass ill have 1
soz albert im getting the glasses in a job lot i think.

Half the price: engraved glass tankard (http://www.bluefishpromo.com/item.php?item=1375)
Well, maybe not half with VAT and carriage added...
DM
If he needs the money upfront, I'll see what I can do!.
nice find doggers i think we might go with them, they are nicer glasses than the ones i could get - what does every one think???
still keep it simple tho, just some simple text

I think you'll find those are printed, but thanx for the link DM......
TL.
dammit. will i am investigating further anyhow. already requested more info from them
Sheepster - I really don't mind whether the are engraved or printed. From an artisitc point of view it may be easier to get a design for printing that is a ltitle more exciting than what it is possible to engrave on a glass. I'd be happy to go with whatever you decide. You coudl even ask Smite (or someone) to come up with a design if you went down the printing route?
TL.

I think this is a good idea. Even though I am not attending the LAN I would be interested. Albert will supply the money. ;)

I think the above is sound and would go with that Sheepy. You are doing all the hard work and I wouldn't let it drag on to long.
ill post progress as im thinking more of printing as its less work, in that allid have to do is submit the design and the cash
any one who can come up with a simple design in one colour would be helpfull
how about.....
i just choked on my crisps laughing at that one
the glasses from the webby that doggers posted will work out at £9.64 per glass after everythink. so price would still be £10.
breakdown is as follows
>Large tankard supplied in presentation carton. Engraved in 1 position
>
>20 x £6.20 each
>Origination £25.00 per design - this is to make the template we will only need one of these as they will all be the same.
>Postage £15
>vat @17.5%
this is all based on getting 20 people intrested, so we need a few more to sign up
Come on guys, get your own pint glass to show off to your friends. You can use it at birthdays or other normal festivities where you can get drunk with you and your beautifull glass.
I'll have one then. So long as it's got one of Smite's spiffy logos on it - preferable with added "WOW!" so I can impress friends and make girlys swoon.
D"beer goggles"M
DM added to list -
smite is very busy at the moment and may not be able to do anythink,
does any one else have any ideas for designs smite told me to ask slowhand but i havnt seen him around at all lately
comeon boys get designing

I made a start on one earlier.... i will try and have a look again tomorrow.
Ahhhh simple..... that may be me scrapping this one and starting again.
Do we have any ideas to work on?
I started mine with a shield design in chrome.

I like that
Simple is good as it will stand out better.
Nice one Smite.
I like it!
GJ fella.
I like that. GJ Smite
I'll take two.
Actually put me down for 2 as well (I am currently down for 1), I'll send the other over to tgs who is working all too hard at the moment according my sources with far too little time left for either LANs or CS :(
TL.
Darn, I can only hold 1 in my backpack. Otherwise would have liked 2. :(

Only 1? Order 2! Put the second inside the first with a wad of kitchen roll for packing. In fact order 3, your brothers will never forgive you if you fail to bring one back for each of them
TL.
Well, then they should come themselfs ;)
perfect smite could you possibly revers the design so thgat the black is the deisgn on a whitye page - easier forthe printers, what colour do we want it?
black?
etched type?

Too Simple?
Excellent, but could I ask for a 'space' to be added so that it reads :
Dead Men Walking
(DeadMen Walking is incorrect)
Also, there is a 'space' in front of Albert's name to take out.
Thanks.
TL.
I'll sign up for one if there's still some going begging............
GJ guys
PEN
BTW would you mind putting PEN instead of ThePENDRAGON. I think it would look better as ThePENDRAGON is fairly large and ruins the symmetry a little and PEN is my most common nom de plume nowadays
agree?

Etched please Sheepy. It lasts longer that way!!!
Do we want an October 2004 underneath the TCS shield?
Yes please Smite.
yes m8. gfk the etched is just a print type. made to look etched
Date added.
Let me know when you think it is finished and i will flip it over.
Yeah thats nice might wanna just change that shield? more detail? or would that cost extra?
Two for me please :D :D
ive put you down for one and one possible depends if i can get an odd numberd run
i have submitted the design to the printers to see if it will be ok
my only fear is that it may be to big to get it all clear
may have to cut off the attendes bit
QuoteOriginally posted by sheepy@Aug 17 2004, 08:03 AM

I'll ask Waster and Poley whether they want one, I'm sure that once you get the final design and price fixed there will more takers.
preice is fixed - £10. as the glasses will only be coming a few pence short of this
the glasses are etched
the names will not be legible at all so these need to be scrapped but otherwise the designs are fine, lets get em done asap.
etchable area is 80x 55 mm
To replace the attendees, you could do a venues..
LAN I - March
LAN II - March
LAN III - March
LAN IV - March
Lan V - March
lan 1 wasnt in march
i personally think that just leaving the atendees off would be fine
we dont have a lot of space to play with
maybe leaving the shield off and just putting lettering, I NEED VIEWS ON THIS VERY SOON AS I NEED TO GET THEM DONE
Drop the attendees - it would be nice but unless we are ordering a stein instead of a pint glass there'll not be room.
I don't mind if we keep or lose the shield, I'll go with whatever. If we end up going for a text version then we could expand the text a bit more due to the extra space?
Dead Men Walking
-=[dMw]=- LAN VI
October 2004
My 2 cents, you make the exec decision!
TL.
i was thinking
Dead Men Walking
-=[dMw]=- Lan VI Oct 04
//www.deadmen.co.uk

QuoteDead Men Walking

//www.deadmen.co.uk
Slightly different?
TL.
No offence but that looks a little boring. (if it is just text)
well maybe something simple smite i would like a logo as i agree that it would look better but must be simple.... any ideas
i liked the shield idea and think it may work, feedback plz.
maybe a plain vertion of the circle logo???????
Christ you lot are as useful as dancing fish.
The left side of Smites logo is fine. For the other side, if you really need it, put something obvious.
'Insert Beer'
or
Fcuk TCS let's drink
or
Kiss
Me
I'm
a
Twat
or
Get me a drink
Refill Please
Same Again
or something. a simple line.
get on with it.

that'll do. stick

The trouble is Benny that there may be no 'back' to a cylindrical drinking vessel.
Seriously though, if it is a mug then most etching is usually done on the side opposite the handle so that the handle does not get in the way of the etching tooling etc. So there may be no back into which to insert said preferred saying.
TL.
now that i really like smite..... i think we have a winner, benny i to would like some thing like tht on the other side but its not possible unless we want to nearly double the price and i think that it would be far to excessive price for a pint glass
I hate you all.

Sheepy - give me a call and I'll pay for them on my card - it will be easier than collecting all of the dosh BUT I'll let you collect the cash to pay me at the LAN if that's alright (I'll already be busy with the LAN fees etc). My contact numbers are on the availability website.

So it looks like my photoshop can't be set-up correctly for mm.......so i measured the screen :D

I dunno i set a little time out for a quick design and it takes over...
Albert added on the reserve list as well. :D
much better smite ;)
right all set. i will be putting in the order in the next couple of days. TL ill give u a call tonight, around 8 ish as im playing golf at about 6
art work aproval sent to me i have forwarded to TL to double check but its good imo and the order is progressing nicely
just thought id keep u guys up to speed
I have paid for the glasses today by direct credit transfer. The total was £206.10.
As the company used do not take credit cards(!) I had to transfer hard cash to them to get the order confirmed.
Sheepy is in charge of the money collection, so:
If those who ordered glasses could arrange to pay Sheepy ASAP it would be much appreciated as I can then be refunded!
Many thanks.
TL.
How much was it exactly?
I will then transfer the money to your account TL.
Sheepy is the Bean Counter for this black op, he'll advise and peeps can pay him the money as he has the full list etc. Please do not pay me the money directly or the accounting will go tits up  Thanks.

Ehrm, Sheepy, PM me for your accountnumber, I'll try and sort it from the Netherlands.
I believe the figure mentioned was £10 but Sheepster will have to confirm that and also tell us where to send it.
£10 per mug. that leaves a few pence spare on each one to give the server fund a few quid at the end of it. i cannot accept anythink incomming at the moment, as i dont want to put deadmen money in myt account, i will be setting up another accound soon and will send round details for check/money transfer if u want to pay b4 the lan. but right at this moment i cant handle it!!! give me a few days
2p.
Sheep PM the people with your acc number and sort code and they can transfer. Everyone who is getting one is trustable to a certain extent....
It's a lot of hassle to set up an account just for a one off payment.
benny being unemployed at present my personal account is in a sh!t state.
i dont want to get deadmen payments mixed up. also i have been meaning to set up a 2nd account for a while. to be used as a savings account which it will be after all the deadmen money has been moved out.
Why dont you just go set up a bank account for it?
