well today i had to choice in something new , as i noticed a powerfull firewall like the mcafee slows the net very much , giving some problems to the net games , now what do you all think it will be best to put on the computer , i have installed for now the symantec professional package 2004 , if you have any other ideas then they will be very wealcome :)

I use a hardware firewall in my router plus the firewall built in to WinXP SP2. I also have McAfee Virus Scan running.
Absolutely no problems.
i use avg professional for anti virus..and "tiny"firewall
they do exactly wot it says on the tin errrr box errr disc :whistle:
Zonealarm free firewall, Netgear firewall and AVG free anti virus!
Hardware firewall: Draytek 2600plus
Software firewall: ZoneAlarm Pro
AV Software: Sophos
The above works well for me.

no software firewalls, as they are not required in my setup :)
