Title: Which do you think is best (LCD or CRT)
Post by: Barley on August 17, 2004, 09:33:55 PM QuoteOriginally posted by Gandalf-LordOfJelly@Aug 17 2004, 07:17 PMHey hey! I have the exact same monitor, it's fantastic! Picture quality is great, and not had a single problem with it :) As for Dell, they make some fine PC's. They kitted out our entire office last winter and the PC's have been pretty good, except for the Intel processors ;)

I just got a 17" tft and am happy with it. Used to have a 19" crt. I run the tft at 1280 x 1024 and it is just as good as the crt. I get no ghosting during games at all.
And it was a bargin, £200.00 notes. Take a look at //www.aria.co.uk and their special deals page. Delivery really fast too.

just remember for tft you are best to have one with digital input and have your desktop at the native resolution usually about 1280 x 1024 sharper than a crt then!
Another naice thing about tft is you dont have to bother about your refresh rate like a crt! At the end of the day though crt's are better for games if you can live with the masses of room they take up. i cant and since i got a tft my iiyama 19"crt has sat in a cupboard :D |
