MeatHook Professional CounterStrike
Player Standards
PREFACE
This document provides the standards of conduct that all players of MeatHook PCS must adhere to. This code of conduct has been put in place to keep the atmosphere and community at MEATHOOK PCS at a satisfactory and manageable level and also to provide information as to what players can expect while in-game and also in the forums. We would like to thank N42 for writing the original Admin & Player Standards that we have adapted for use here at MeatHook PCS.
1. Understand PCS
MeatHook PCS is played on a password protected server to maintain the integrity of the PCS style of play. As such all players on the server should have first registered at http://www.deadmen.co.uk/signup.php (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/signup.php) and read the brief ‘What is PCS’ guide here http://www.deadmen.co.uk/pcs.php (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/pcs.php). However the guide is only an initial taste of the objective-based team play that is PCS.
2. Participate in the Forums
PCS rules can evolve over time and with playing experience, especially on the newer maps in the server rotation. All players should therefore to register for the forums here http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum) and read the special ‘PCS’ section of the forum. Details on map limits and other commonly asked questions are set out there.
3. Attitude / Community
A big part of what makes MeatHook PCS what it is today is the sense of community people feel with each other. As part of this community, you should work to resolve and help fix problems you see in the game that are contrary to the MEATHOOK PCS philosophy. If you see something that doesn't seem to work properly or fit in with the MEATHOOK PCS philosophy, please make suggestions to help fix it by posting a message in the PCS section of the Forums. If you don’t feel comfortable posting your questions then please feel free to contact an Admin directly. An Admin list is here http://www.deadmen.co.uk/Admin.php (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/Admin.php). With this in mind it is requested that players do not issue map votes themselves whilst there is an Admin on the server. If anyone has an issue with the particular map being played, please chat to the Admin on the server and let the Admin take appropriate action.
4. Team Cooperation
You should be cooperating with your team, PERIOD. If you fail to cooperate then your team will lose confidence with you as a player and may file a complaint with an Admin as to your style of play. These complaints will be taken seriously and investigated.
If you wish to file a complaint about a certain player’s style of play, please send it to an Admin via private message (PM Icon) or e-mail.
5. Language
All players should hold a professional level of conduct at all time. Please keep your language in the forums and on the server at a professional and mature level. Play as though you are an example for other players and set a good one. New players will often follow examples set by veteran players, good OR bad.
6. Warnings
Warnings will be given before ANY other form of punishment for ANY player who is violating the rules or overall code of conduct for MEATHOOK PCS.
A player’s first warning will appear on screen for you and others to see. Second warnings will appear on screen and again will be broadcast to all players. Second warnings are of a last-call nature and may ultimately result in you being kicked from the server or banned for a period of 24 hours. If you are a persistent offender it is possible that you will be removed for a longer period of time or removed completely from MEATHOOK PCS.
7. Player Kicks
When a player is kicked they will be dropped to console. There will be a reason listed in the console as to why you were removed. If you have a question or concern about why you were kicked, please bring it up DIRECTLY with the Admin that kicked you. Be respectful and we guarantee that the Admins will treat you with respect in return.
8. Player Bans
If you have been banned from the server, it is for a good reason. If you do not feel the ban is warranted, bring it up DIRECTLY with the Admin that banned you. Once again, treating the Admins with respect will go a long way in regards to having the Admin respect you and in the deliberation of your "case".
8. Server Password
Under no circumstances should any registered player distribute their password to the server to any other person. Violation of this rule is taken very seriously.
9. Admins
Player Warnings, Kicks or Bans can only be issued by a MeatHook PCS Admin. A list of the MeatHook PCS Admins can be found on the //www.deadmen.co.uk website.
10. Escalation Procedure
If you feel that your case has not been resolved in a satisfactory manner, please contact AdminJudge ONLY via e-mail at AdminJudge@deadmen.co.uk. Any requests presented in-game will not be responded to and if pursued could lead to an additional warning or being kicked as this is disruptive to the other players.
Please note that at the moment we are in the middle of changing the way CS is set up on our servers. As a result, we currently do not have the ability to append a message to a kick command. So if you are kicked there will be no message to tell you why you are kicked or by whom. In this event, please either send a PM to me or an email to admins@deadmen.co.uk
Thank you.
