Title: Vapochill Lightspeed
Post by: TeaLeaf on August 23, 2004, 01:06:34 PM
Now that the makers of the beautiful case cooler formlerly known as Prometiea (nVentia ) are in bankruptcy, my drooling loyalty has transferred to the Vapochill camp and their  Lian Li version of their cooler which replaced the previous butt-ugly version that looked like Clare Short chewing a wasp.

With a modern P4 developing over 100W heat even before you look at overclocking then you need good cooling.  The chips due to come out over the next 12 months will pump out even more heat, so the Lightspeed's 250W heat dissipation is a good bit of future-proofing imo.

Read a good review of installation and performance here (http://www.bit-tech.net/review/322/).

Bit pricey but do you really need that much cooling?

Depends on what you want to run and at what speed.

I reckon your 1.2Ghz Duron will be ok on air cooling for the moment though DA....... :norty:
