i now have dust2002 and arizona
i have also fully downloaded dust4ever but it wont connectto the server it says that i have the .bsp file for it complete but it wont go any further. doest connect or download anythink else so im stuck there. will attempt to get other map tomorrow and see if i can get on and have a quick look at dust4ever

i was downloading them from server while no one was on it as we had an away cz game. i did dl them from the direct link and then when i asked where to put em TL told me to dl from server
Sheepster - it really is quite simple - open the zip folder and read the directory note on the righthand column - that tells you the path into which it will unpack the files.
For example, the dust4ever zip shows paths of cstrike\maps\
This tells you it wants to be unzipped into the steam folder that contains the cstrike folder. Unzip all files into that folder, making sure the 'Use Folder Names' is checked - this will ensure that the files then get put into the correct folder.
Follow the same procedure for the other zip packs.

My method if I'm not sure is to unzip them to a temp folder and then copy them manually to the correct locations which is usually obvious from the unzipped folder structure

For a few files you have to watch out though because 1 whole map should be placed in a sub-map.

im still trying to get themaps!!!! the server has been set so there is no time limit on the maps so they dont change!"!!!!!! and i have the one its stuck on!!! still needing barhain and to actaully get on to dust4ever!

If you are having trouble then use the zip file download links posted by Blueball earlier in this thread. As he pointed out, they will also be faster as they are compressed zip files as opposed to an uncompressed data feed. TL.

Ok no probs. At the moment I may have to stop playing at 4.00pm anyway as I'm djing at 4.30. Its a paying gig so I can't say no.
